Pet Peeve: The Undying

Yeah but bwon is the death loa of all trolls and mueh’zala is just the sandfury

And even the sandfury seemed to pray to bwon not muehzala in Zuldazar.

Mueh’zala’s super lame+nerd FACT. But he’s gonna show up anyway and somehow be mega powerful for reasons.

Maybe nobody else is cray-cray enough to follow Mueh’zala.

Inbefore they dip into Heartstone canon and make Bwonsamdi’s boss Xatma, the Plague Lord of Death, who in HS is both described and describes himself as basically the death itself and more powerful than the Lich King etc.

I hope not. Xatmas HS character design is very underwhelming and forgettable.

Please do.

you made me look it up

is that just an uldum voidwalker or something?

Yeah Xatma’s boring. Madness is the only one I could see working as a “spooky” boss, and Murloc could work for goofy.

They all pale in comparison to RAFAAAAAAM, THE SUPREME ARCHAEOLOGIST.

He looks like the villain from Wildstar and N’zoth had a baby.

As much as I enjoy Hearthstone lore dripping over into WarCraft proper, let’s be honest: It doesn’t matter who Bwonsamdi’s boss is.

If it’s a brand new character, a character established in Hearthstone or earlier WarCraft titles, or it turns out that it’s Amon and this is setting up for the final crossover with StarCraft, it’s still going to be a disappointing “That’s it? Just X?” as we inevitably beat them up for epic drops.

It’s basically down to Blizzard’s failure to create meaningful opponents besides their OG villains.

Raid bosses could just be named Raidboss#78768 by now since they’re not interest in creating new villains.

As I said before, if Blizzard doesn’t care, how can they possibly expect us to? They don’t build them up through written stories anymore. The last time they tried was in WoD for Iskar and Imperator Mar’gok and that was quite nice.

Otherwise the best you can hope of a villain build up is a Cartoonish one like they did for Xavius and finish them off as final raid bosses. Or reuse old allies and turn them villain only to “gasp!” they were in fact MCed or misguided (Effing Grommash) or had good intentions from the beginning.

Does anyone here remember G’huun? Or those guys in the 3 boss raid crucible of storm? No? How about Argus? Nobody?

G’Huun was just a big fat leech. He was meh. His voice sucked total bum too.

I fully expect the new expansion first final raid boss to be as… Forgettable as G’huun.

Elisande was pretty meh, imo.

Elisande was the best-developed villain we got in a while… and that’s what we call “damning with faint praise”.

Eh, I didnt care for her. I liked Gul’dan more.

I love Gul’dan for his Gul’dan-y-ness but he’s not exactly an intricately plotted, complexly characterized villain. That’s the way I like him, of course. 100% bastard.

Plus, he ain’t an elf.

I mean, Gul’dan more or less acted the same/in line with his main universe counterpart. I don’t think he really counts as a memorable new villain.

With the difference being that he actually got the power promised to him for suceeding.

Lord of murlocs sounded great though
