Pet Peeve: Wrath

Cahir’s casting choice was not quite what I expected either. Certainly agree with Henry Cavill though. :relaxed:

Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed.

Me, but talking about Jaskier

Dandelion is one of my main gripes in the games (though I like him in the books), so the show’s take on him was great. That said there were a few times where he came across as a little too ‘modern’, but overall I really liked him.

My only beef about Jaskier in the show is that it needed a little more on-screen buddy-buddy with Geralt for the friendship to feel solidified. It wasn’t a big deal though, and there’s probably more coming in S2.

I kinda hope they drop the time-hopping stuff in the next season but we’ll see. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, just a preference.

I didn’t mind it, but I watched it with my mum and sister. They’re… Slow. “Isn’t she dead?”, yes mum, this is the past again.

With the barbers still closed due to the lockdown, I’ve elected to just grow out my hair into a Jedi mullet. Gonna see how far I can get till this whole quarantine’s over before trimming it down to my usual short length.

My peeve is that people spam report posts containing opinions they do not agree with.

Only to backfire in their face when their own threads get locked

I’ve not had a chance to see it yet, but I heard it has alot of flashbacks apparantly compared to most shows.

I kinda wanna watch it, but I’ve also not played the games or read the books.

Shops opening back up in a few weeks in England. Absolutely cannot wait for the viral video of the stampedes outside of Primark while people try to push their way in.

Meanwhile, there’s still nobody in WHS Smiths.

Never took much note of the shop itself whenever I went in until it was voted ‘the worst highstreet shop’ and explained why… Mainly its layouts and everything and damn, i notice it now.

Peeve: Corruption. Why are they on a rotation and not available all at once?

It’s even more exacerbated by some corruptions being much more expensive (in echoes) per point of corruption unless you can get it at its highest level. For example, I’ve waited for the crit corruption, which comes next week, but only at level 2. Buying it now is less efficient than waiting for level 3… However long that takes.

BfA, and 8.3 in particular is on its core built entierly around RNG, perhaps even more than the other expansions in some ways. I also think this has affected the corruption system in more ways than just the rng to get them. Various corruption effects are either extremly overtuned or really bad, and the more they become available to everyone, the more people(especially those who got lucky with them early) complain in PvP.

And since the system is broken from its core sadly, I think they use this to still keep it running somewhat, while still trying to please all parties without needing to nerf more corruption effects than they already have.

Deseprate time gating so people remain subbed. Extra ka-ching ka-ching until Shadowlands comes out.

Violet Hold. That’s it, that’s the peeve. I dislike having random bosses per week. (At least the Argent Tournament was random per entrance in the dungeon.)

Current peeve:

Greymoor, ESO’s next chapter has just released. There was a bug that meant people who hadn’t purchased it could enter Haafingar (added in Greymoor) so they took the game down for several hours to fix it.

Now that it’s back up, the servers are too overloaded to actually get into the game.

Par for the course with an MMO expansion launch, I’m well aware, but annoying nonetheless…

Yo hold up. You’re telling me WHS Smiths aren’t just an airport thing? Because the company I work for at the airport sometimes makes me do shifts in those.

They’re on nearly every high street. :o
