this ain’t a qipao
It’s still a Yukata.
EDIT: you’re still an uncultured swine
pats
well yeah I’m british lmao
So am I! Yet I know this!
…
Okay, that may be because I’m a massive weeb.
EDIT: But generally speaking, a kimono is the longer one that goes down to their feet and the Yukata is… short, and it can be short as in like that or; “are you sure that’s not a top? Why aren’t you wearing shorts?”
'cos she’s a strong independent woman
You also now know that the “Chun-Li” dress is a Qipao, which i should’ve cottoned on to since Chun Li is obviously Chinese.
Actually, Tifa’s one there is a tasteful length, I have seen far shorter ones.
the first one is a qipao though!!!
ah i see that’s been pointed out, didn’t read properly
Qipao is Chinese for ‘hello’.
TMYK
Is it said “ki pow” like I think it is?
Well, obviously.
EDIT: Those games are how i learned how to say quite a few chinese words.
As of late, a lot of images linked on the forums show up like this for me:

Anyone else experience the same?

Not all the time though, it also doesn’t like the armoury.

I’m telling you, there’s something odd about these AU orcs.
Why use Sword when you can conjure FIERY SWORD.
with your mind, no less
House 5 is for true Kings
It’s pronounced “chee pow.”
What people call “chi” should actually be written “qi”, as “chi” would sound like “chuh”
the more u kno
(this applies to mainland mandarin, taiwan uses a different transliteration system but people often mix them together which causes major confusion - MoP being a major violator here)
Ah.
As said, I learned most my Chinese from Dynasty Warriors which changed its pronounciation between games.
Yeah haha, the earlier ones are wrong but the more recent ones are pretty good in that regard!
