Lost Isles music is still one of my favourite tracks in the game.
But yeah that meme questery hasn’t aged well. I enjoyed it at the time but looking back it went way too far in that direction.

i love how super nonchalant nomura is in interviews. he is basically a final fantasy protagonist himself.
His portions in the FF7: Remake behind the scenes were so great, dude just slouching back in his chair.
That’s probably because he’s tired from carrying Squeenix on his back between KH and FF7R.

It’s very clear that blizzard did not consider that the meme quests of cataclysm would age poorly and also would not not have the resources to update questing zones a second time.

EDIT: That’s what you get if you call of the beyond me when you’re at 3 hits worth of health.
You’d think some of these mobs would wonder what that god awful saw noise is coming from right behind them.
Seeing all these cool new customisations and then remembering void elves are probably getting none of that really saddens me.
