Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

is this the really serious cutscene conversation which has the camera entirely focused on the woman’s butt?

Yes.
The irony is not lost on me, but we should really lock the word ‘censorship’ in a little box and take it out when we’re ready to use it properly and not use it to describe…

  1. People exercising their right to chose an alternative brand/vote with their wallets
  2. Creators changing their minds on something they created

Two things I have seen today.

I wouldn’t even call that “censorship”

Its like… there’s a time and a place to have the camera just focused on her butt and that isn’t it.

(You may notice that i haven’t played Mass Effect, so my knowledge on it is pretty much, whatever I’ve read in the peeves threads)

‘Gamers’ being stupid, yet again.

You know what else is stupid? Who. The. HELL. Puts a tumbledryer on, in shared accomodation, with paper thin walls, at 2.25am in the freaking morning? Who does that?!

Asking for a Me, because I’m this close to bottling someone, I swtg…

As expected. Gamers delenda est. These grifters have become a societal and cultural ulcer feeding ignorance into giant human centipede.

It wouldn’t even be bad to focus on that characters butt in another context but that conversation is a weird time to do it.

I have done so much stuff and I’m still not in Heavensward

How long can this go on?

The classic bioware buttshot is a meme but also the product of recycling the same handful of camera angles. A high production remake should have fancier shots.

The fact that having a scene reshot for the sake of idk, appropriateness makes people Reeeeee their feeble minds out is sad. I suppose the conversations they have everyday must be while facing someone else’s rear instead of their eyes.

Don’t trust gravel fullstop.

It’ll always fall regardless.

Maybe I should give the FF MMO another go someday… Maybe after I get tired of SL. I tried it once before but the artstyle just wasn’t doing it for me at the time.

Well the artstyle’s not changed at all so…

They’re removing buttshots?

Good. They had no business being there in the first place.

After ME1, seeing them in ME2 was very jarring and came off to me as yet another immature attempt to market the game as more extreme! Mass Effect (with a teenage boy’s conception of extreme).

It’s a message to Gamers: it’s not just about you anymore.

The samurai class looks really odd on my big beefy highlander. Will stick with it for a few levels then probably switch back over to dragoon.

Definitely want to try out the gunbreaker at 60 though. Gunblades are unironically cool and I don’t get why they received so much hate when 8 came out.

Devil’s advocate, but none of the staff who worked on ME2 originally are at Bioware anymore, so the creators aren’t changing their minds. They’re having their work changed by someone else who wasn’t involved in the creation of that work.

That said, Miranda’s bum is literally the only good part of her plywood character.

Gunblades in FF8 and Gunblades in FF14 are different weapons.

And the FF8 gunblades are still very silly.

Look at FF as a whole.

Stares into the camera.

yeah, the gunblades are the silly part of the time-travelling sorceress game
