It probably has no government oversight either. Those kids were in serious danger. Makes sending them to a military training school to have their memories wiped by junctioning GF’s a lot more sinister.

Also Irvine just never bringing up that he remembers them all is super weird. Reminds me of Tifa not bringing up that Clouds telling of the Nibelheim incident was entirely wrong according to her own recollection.

Gunblades in FF8 and Gunblades in FF14 are different weapons.

And the FF8 gunblades are still very silly.

FF8 Gunblades aren’t actually guns, they don’t fire bullets/shells. Their triggers generate a shockwave in the blade that makes it vibrate at a high frequency for extra damage.

FF14 gunblades are guns strapped to swords, they go pewpew and they go slashslash.

Edit: And the FF13 gunblade was a gun that could transform into a sword and vice versa.

Late response to the Total War:Warhammer stuff, but confederation is indeed rather strange in this game. I did a vortex campaign with Clan Moulder, wanted to confederate Riktus, who happened to be nearby.

First the dumb rats declare war on me, I beat them to a pulp but let them live, since i wanted Craventail as my legendary hero. Yet only after Nagarythe began wooping their behinds could I finally confederate them

Edit: Snow-related peeve. Snow shovelling ain’t fun when tons of people have already walked over it

This has always bugged me. She’s a genetically modified clone of her “father”? How does that even work? Did they double his X chromosome and remove the Y?

My friend who is a nurse had a vaccine pretty early and it made him feel real crap for like a day.

My mom had her first shot a few weeks ago (she works healthcare), was going to get her second vaccine shot today but snow storm cancelled that, she didn’t have any issues

If it’s just a day of feeling bad that’s not all too awful, though!
