Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

shhh don’t say that I’m sure they’re just a moment away from suplexing their wallet-train for yoshi-p

Turns out severing yourself from EU conventions on X and Y give those in charge much more freedom to oppress you.

I actually really like how colourful FF is.

It sure as hell beats GW2 where a lot of the background is tinged with grey making it kind of dull.

Mhmm.

The EU is really terrible as an organisation but it is far preferable to be inside it peeing out than outside of it getting peed on.

I don’t have to like it to recognise the way it’s been defusing bad situations and at least nominally prevented member nations from devolving into dictatorships.

Alas, hungary…

Considering Juncker had to tell the EU off for being really weird about vaccines and being really hostile over them, the EU is being a bit of an armpit itself at the moment.

Perhaps AstraZeneca simply should not have been hiding 29 million vaccines away while saying it can’t deliver any to the EU, for the sole purpose of stocking them up until July when they can contractually ask whatever they want for them

none of the ‘west’ is being great with vaccines frankly

not making them open source is intensely gross

What’s the point of saving lives if we can’t make a buck, right?

Thought they were being shipped out to poorer nations in the americas?

Are we dissing on the EU bc hoo boi, EU can at times suck a fat one.

That’s what they decided to say after it’d been discovered by a police raid, yeah

Considering the company has continuously been lying and lying and lying, I don’t trust their word for it in the slightest

They previously secretly made a deal with the UK, promised that deliveries to the EU would remain as promised, then kept on getting back on that again and again and again while UK shipments seem to go just fine

As an at risk person whose country’s vaccination scheme got messed up by it who just last week caught the 'rona and is now noticing it getting worse, I’ve some real thoughts on these pharmabros in particular

That’s the one I was given.

Already said if I get offered AstraZeneca I’ll do a hardpass, they’re kind of awful + the allegations regarding the secondary effects are not things I want to support.

Ideally I wait until the danish vaccine is out in public, but that’s still a while off, so Pfizer or Modena it is.

I don’t get to choose. Just waiting for my chance to reduce the severity of infection at this rate.

The vaccine seems mostly fine - great work to the researchers that made it and all the time they put into it, obviously, but the shady corporate decisionmaking that seems to be at the core of right around everything its doing is :face_vomiting:

My mother got Pfizer and didn’t have too much in the way of sideeffects, just an off feeling for a few hours and that’s it. Don’t think I’ll get to choose once I get to get one either, think we’re going with a “just use whatever we got” kinda approach at this point.

Tbh if the vaccine takes me out then thank god for that

Just make sure my remains don’t get used in some wine mum FB group re. covid vaccinations causing autism

We don’t have a free choice per say, but we are legally allowed to say no due to the way our healthcare system works.
I won’t be offered mine until mid/late summer earliest if the time table is to be believed.

I most likely will be offered Modena or Pfizer, they seem to be the ones delivering the largest amount of doses to use.

Everytime I hear someone say you get autism from vaccines I loudly tell them I hope they step barefoot on a lego.

As usual, reddit’s response to the game time changes is sensible and properly measured.

Every time I get annoyed with AD I remember it could be worse.
