Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

Here we go lads BLEXIT cmon engerland!

If this thread isn’t on political fire by the time I get back from work then what’s the point

BASED

As for Mogi I am the complete opposite. I am a Finn, through and through, and never considered myself european. Nordic, sure. Western, also fine. But never european. Geographically I of course am one, but not identity wise.

I don’t feel any kinship with the french, germans or italians (or other europeans) on a nationwide level, and actually i do not even want to. They are completely different nations with different cultures and customs. And I know this because I spent 5 years in a Uni where it was mandatory to always have at least one foreign student in ur group, sometimes more- And I can safely state, based on those experiences, that I do not feel kinship or belonging with them.

Labour voterbase summarized in 1 sentence.

I jest of course, there is nothing wrong with voting with your emotions.

They were on both sides. There was Remainers saying all Leave are racists, along with Leavers who shut down any fact or statistic with wanting to reclaim an 80s Britain from their nostalgia. The debate highlighted some idiots on both sides; I for one disagreed with the EU giving preference to non-English speaking European nurses to, say, Mauritanian nurses that spoke perfect English but were not given priority based solely on not being Eueopean, so I don’t think the Vote Leave gang were all “racist”.

If voting with ones emotions is legit, then I suggest we give animals full voting rights from now on, because many of them have all the same emotions as us and thus have the same basis for decisionmaking.

Is this a new Green Party policy?

Peeve: “Some people are X, get over it” T-shirts.

As one of those X’s, I think they set a needlessly confrontational tone. It feels like they’re preemptively angering people who otherwise have no problem with X people existing to begin with.

There’s this one bird that keeps on trying to fight his own reflection he sees in the window, and the constant bonk-ing is driving me insane.

At least the other birds think he’s an idiot as well.

Fondly remembering how Brexit politicians pretended to care really hard about fishing in the run-up to the referendum only to shaft them in the deal and then say “sucks to be you” over about 40 pages of paperwork without a further comment

You can pretty much find and replace “fishing” for pretty much any industry that has physical exports in the UK here.

Yeah, I mostly said fishing because it had the largest presence in the referendum discussions to my memory, though this has basically torpedo’d most manufacturing and agriculture as well, with the exception of goods which have the UK has their primary consumer. Not that any of them want to mention it.

I wonder if I should start describing it as having been virtue signalling

I considered buying a gurt crate of cheese I saw that was like 1/10th of the price it should have been because the company cant shift it because brexit.

I do not need that much cheese.

I don’t like it, like I’ve said numerous times but as long as the EU stifles the growth of totalitarian nationalists by denying such countries membership as a basic standard they’re doing one thing right.

If the English want to sever ties, make questionable choices in their so-called freedom and destroy the ability for their people to protest the result they ought to have the common decency to leave the welsh, scots and northern irish out of it. Among other things.

Annoyed there’s no mod that can give you summon dragonling in DE edition.

It wouldn’t surprise me. They are completely disconnected from reality.

Nah.

Also you forgot the Cornish.

Dismantle britain. The english made the choice already for the rest of 'em as is tradition.

Dismantle Levey. We can use the parts in the Stichyard.

Northern Independence Party, let’s go :fist:
