Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

I just can’t seem to care about it, I just want conclusion for the Teldrassil tragedy and an end to Sylvanas so I don’t have to think about either anymore. It’s only during MoP that the lore had some manner of keeping a continuous thread to the next expansion but BfA and Shadowlands are so out of their way that it’s hard but I did care about BfA… Shadowlands however, I’m so indifferent about it.

You said it yourself that one day, in a distant future they’re probably gonna WoD’d this expansion with “Ah, the portal has been closed when the heroes returned.” but the damage has already been done. You went into the freakin’ afterlife dealing with very -living- issues, nothing particularly unique. Heck for all I know you could have easily had the Night Fae in Azeroth, the Venthyr too as idk an exilee group of Elves somewhere in Azeroth and not the Shadowlands while bringing them as Allied races (because that’s just how this game will work from now on.)

We could have had Azeroth expanded in a similar way to MoP, but no… Danuser can’t seem to let his Waifu and boytoy just die and be forgotten while ‘subverting’ our expectations with another bigger badder eviler villain who’s stronger than the Legion, Old Gods and soon Void Lords.

Sorry to disappoint

Welcome home.

Thing is about that mindset from Vanillia to MoP era was that it was tempered by “Okay, we’ve got a cool idea how do we make it fit?”. And yes I would argue MoP fit into Warcraft just fine. Pandaren are people too.

WoD and Legion had that mindset as well, but it was starting to be eroded. BFA and SL just threw it out the window. Kul Tiras, an old human kingdom in a collection of kingdoms united by shared faith in the Light? Worship the Old Gods now unknowingly! Zandalari? Retconned heavily!

Etc etc

Pretty fun game though. I like that there’s a lot to do besides questing/etc. Most of the people I know are at the Sims stage of the game where they’re all designing their bedrooms

Yeah if they can afford one… I’m living from hand to mouth.

I’ve just made my first million

You are everything that is wrong with the economy. Watch your back when the revolution comes…

Just wanna buy a house y’know

Eorzea really needs to invest more because it’s a housing crisis and that bubble’s gotta burst

I haven’t touched the professions yet, but planning to once I finish the story content

How far into the story are you?

I’ve just finished the Stormblood main story (moving onto the expansion’s patch stories now)

Leveling botany as a break from the story content - and to make some stacks

I’m about half way through Shadowbringers atm so nearing the end. Haven’t had as much time to play the last few weeks.

Ahh fair. I only recently started playing really, and I’ve jumped between a bunch of classes (dragoon 70, dancer 69, samurai 62, white mage 53, etc)

How about another joke, Akamito?

No, I think we’ve had enough of your jokes.
