Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

Okay so I went to start a Wood Elf campaign in Warhammer 2 and was about to click on Sisters of Twilight, but then I saw this absolute unit of a man and thought twice.

On my Youtube frontpage I saw a recommendation for a post from a channel called “Talent Recap” concerning horrifying news about somebody named Alexis.

I have no idea who this Alexis is, I haven’t heard of this youtube channel before, their content isn’t anything I would watch so why the heck is it recommended to me?

Same! Really confused by how Youtube is not only putting posts on my front page of channels I don’t follow, but ones completely not related to my interests while at it.

So this is apparently getting recommended to everyone, 'cus I also got it?

Horrible news, yes, but… Where’d you come from?

I looked through more posts of this youtube channel.

“She tried rapping, now she is earning millions on OnlyFans.”
“10 times Taylor Swift got emotional.”
“This happened on The Voice UK.”

I take back what I said earlier about their content not being something I would watch. I actively avoid getting anywhere near this refuse tier content.

Sounds like the most absolute awful non-trying clickbait ever.

The new forum system is The Worst. Sheesh.

Hey Kaytlinne, that was indeed a very funny thing Croecell said there. Wasn’t it, Vixi?

generating great discussion

The Renegade/Rebel mode is to just hit the regular reply button and expect people to figure out who you’re responding to on their own!

I reformatted everything on my PC. No matter what I did or a friend did, the file locations for things were screwed up and couldn’t be changed and ugh. Now I don’t have any sign of Onedrive :’ )

I’ve never had any issues with Onedrive tbh, really like it overall.

Miss Behaving is on my lap trying to steal my cheesecake.

Part of the reason I gave up on RPing any Gnome characters.
That and apparently if you don’t RP strictly as the wacky, zany inventor type then you’re “doing it wrong”.

Ive not had much trouble with people like that on my gnomes for a while.

And yet several times in-game we see worgen civilians just hanging around like it’s no big deal.

I do find it awkward that they insist the curse is this awful thing, but then turn around and put worgen civilians in the Anduin speech cinematic (for example), or druids chilling in Cenarion zones, or soldiers well away from any combat, etc. Hell we even see Genn talking to Anduin in one of the BfA cinematics in worgen form, in the middle of Stormwind just to tell him about the troop situation.

If being in the form too much is so bad why is it used near constantly by most Gilnean NPCs? Civilian or otherwise?

Granted it should definitely have some down sides. The novels and the recent quest make that apparent.

One of my own worgen uses the form 24/7 (The alternative is being a cripple in his human form), but he has pride and ego issues that, inevitably, incite anger if goaded or humiliated. In part he can’t stand the pity he used to get in his human form, so he’d rather stay as a worgen.

My other worgen is a priest that is usually fine, being much more calm and pious… until the adrenaline/blood rush kicks in, and she starts being more aggressive in combat rather than her usual support role. Often to her detriment as she’s less skilled or strong compared to someone better built for that role. She otherwise usually uses her worgen form in an effort to gain more mastery over it, having suppressed it for years until the fourth war. But it’s not 24/7.

My take is that just being in the form doesn’t make things worse, as such. It just skips the middle man of “human form>angry>worgen form” if your temper flares up. And it’s easier to get a rise out of you no matter your current form. The idea that being in the form automatically makes you feral is just ludicrous, otherwise we’d never see it outside combat by any single NPC or character.

But I would expect people to be less trusting or apprehensive of worgen walking around. Whenever I build a worgen character in any kind of RPG system in a guild, I usually dump social skills or attributes to represent this.

the hot reason for this is because they already had a genn-worgen cinematic model (from the BfA intro) and it was cheaper/easier/faster/smarter to reuse that than to make a whole new genn-human model, especially when he wasn’t the pivotal character.
