? Western Tirisfal is still theirs. Deathknell’s established.
Fenris Keep is contested, with both factions having back-and-forth over it in the mission table. https://wow.gamepedia.com/Lordamere_Lake_(mission)_(Alliance) https://wow.gamepedia.com/Lordamere_Lake_(mission)_(Horde)
Fenris Keep is confirmed in Bloodfang worgen hands in the latest lore book
Also worth noting that the Bulwark was designed and built against encroachment from the Plaguelands into Tirisfal and now that the Capital City it was defending is Blighttown (and there’s no Scourge in the Western Plaguelands to Bulwark against) now it’s not a useful fortification and would probably be abandoned by a competent commander
I’ve been screaming at anyone who listens that according to Wolfheart, the Ritual of Balance is not a perfect fix. All it does is give your human side a hand on the wheel, but you still run the risk of turning feral which is why Varian vetoed them out of the Alliance – and for good reason too, as the worgen proved him instantly right when Eadric almost attacked Varian if not for Genn’s intervention, and these are the worgen who dislike staying in their worgen form.
Those who stay 24-7 in the form are all but feral at this point as they threatened to murder their allies for slighting them, and they themselves admit that they often get carried away while on the hunt, unable to tell friend from foe when they get into the flow.
Emotional imbalance is a huge part of being a worgen and even the most well-adjusted and disciplined worgen are just getting by with their severe anger issues as the curse amplifies their emotions, (doubly so in the worgen form) most notably fear and anger.
Tbf High Rock and Morrowind are a better setting for GoT style noble feuding RP than most anywhere in warcraft. Like daggerfalls story hinges on nobles messing with each other and Morrowinds great houses are a big thing.
Just both are also pretty high fantasy magic heavy settings with magic robots and interventionist deities.
Thankfully every worgen in my guild is very aware of this after I stood on my soap box and ranted at anyone who would ilsten introduced them to Wolfheart lore, and they all RP worgen who hate the curse with passion.
It’s not without stretched-canon for it since the pyrewood villagers seemed to be forced into worgen form at night. I could totally justify new lore for it happening. The curse strengthening over time since it’s been a few years or whatever.
I remember the game indeed has that lots in High Rock, and then on NA lots of ““minor houses”” in Morrowind that just do Game of Thrones and conveniently ignore a lot of actual Morrowind-related lore while at it
GoT rpers are gonna GoT and ignore the setting they’re in for the most part regardless, I guess
