Thankfully, the AI is very bad at using Varghulfs properly and a unit or two of halberdiers will absolutely shred one.
(halberdiers in general are the GOAT vs vampire counts)

Fair, let’s compromise with a stoic, contemptous spearwall but with the reserves circling around to poke them in the back with a bold, patriotic cry.
The point, pardon the pun, of spearman human wave is cost efficiency.
Dwarves solve every issue they have with either axes or guns in Warhammer. And I think that’s beautiful. No need for some rinky dink swords and spears.

The new Stellaris update might have introduced a bunch of new content, but it also destroyed the AI. Non-player empires have no idea how to manage a basic economy and end up driving themselves into bankruptcy concerning multiple resources, no matter the difficulty. By the time the end-game crisis comes around, you’re lucky if any non-computer empire has more than 30k total fleet power.

Missing headshots on Elites on Legendary difficulty is a bummer as it will result in death shortly after.

With the aforementioned dawi post a little earlier in this thread, on a whim I booted up my Karaz a Karak save to see if it could cheer me up in terms of TW enjoyment.
Right choice. Grimgor just knocked himself senseless against one of my garrisons, before his underway escape was cut very short by Thorgrim. I managed to Confederate Zhufbar just now, so they’re no longer sat there being useless.
The ‘defenders’ (read: unwanted grobi squatters) of Black Crag made the mistake of trying to sally out, right into the full force of Thorgrim’s besieging army.
There’s gold, beer, and the crash of a thousand score heavily armoured, steel-toe-capped boots.

Well the slayers are in it to get their own heads chopped off anyway so it’s a win for everyone in the end. They get to mow down dorks on mounts and also die themselves.

A peeve that has cropped up today: Started a new world in Minecraft for a fresh run, did the usual beginning set-up then realised it was all feeling so empty and lifeless without anyone else to play with. Is there like an AD server out there or something? 
Meanwhile I finally picked up my first Warhammer 2 mod, namely the one that lets you re-use Legendary Lords.
Already had a lot of fun with it on Settra, it gave me Arkan the Black and that woman from Lustria!
Also, Tomb Kings got a slow start, atleast Settra does, but hooo boi once you get your empire going. And armies don’t cost upkeep… I can swarm even better than the Skaven now…
