It’s not really the case and isn’t going to happen. Ultimately, it’s not the forum moderators fault what happens in-game.

What I do take issue with is their lack of regard for people being able to discuss on-going problems and on-going concerns as a wider community without steam rolling all over every thread that crops up. Primarily too, it’s ‘this’ that I take issue with:

‘It would basically be down to moderator’s discretion here - sorry that it’s not a more definitive answer on that!’

So basically, and I’ve seen this a lot, moderators on these forums can interpret the rules quite broadly to fit their understanding of the situation, instead of using clear guidelines to determine what is and what isn’t a breach of regulations. It’s all well and good that there’s a stickied thread by Perroy, but that’s a pretty loaded thread and it does not serve the purpose of keeping people apprised of on-going problems.

For reference, the guild that people have been speaking about has been on the war path recently, mass spamming people with in appropriate messages in-game - now you might say that’s a game moderator problem or even a ‘you’ problem for not just slapping the lot of them on ignore. However, as a community, we are united in making the server a better place, and gag orders, silencing, etcetera are not the way to manage what is essentially community discourse.

By all means, remove posts that encourage or insist on bullying a user but do not assume every single time someone’s name is used, there’s an instance of shaming involved. It’s not ‘shaming’ to point out the name of a leader of a guild. It’s not ‘shaming’ to point out what type of guild it is, by their own advertisement. It’s not even provocative or trolling. It’s a reporting of the facts.

Long story short, you’re not really doing this community any form of service by preventing us from making it better. Your interpretation of the rules at any given time seem to serve more to shut us down.

Furthermore and I really hate to point this out, but you’ve locked a number of threads that have a clear agenda to better or inform the community, or otherwise bring levity to a dark situation - but you’ve completely ignored the classified ‘LF a female toon’ thread which IMO, is saturated with bullying. That seems like an odd double standard.

It’s not that I cannot sympathize with you guys, having lived in customer service agent hell far too long myself. But I think that it is also understandable that some of us are getting worried when statements like in now locked thread surface, basically saying it is still/again discussed if text in an addon should even be actionable. If that was really the case, it would be a huge step backwards imho. Having said that,

Think this one depends on the GM unless it has changed over the years. I recall some GM saying its bannable no matter the chat but i might just remember wrong.

What i think is even worse is when the GSL situation got loads of attention and tickets where made daily to do something about these people and their sexual profiles and all the ERP they did in the game, some public.

It got brushed over with “yeah we are aware of the situation and we honestly just thinking of banning everyone involved from both sides or they can sort it out themselves”

I would love to but it feels like it does actually nothing at all. No matter if its in game or via a ticket.

Actually got a question about reports too if you would respond, i know that in game reports sends you all the logs of the person reported, but does that include the TRP3? Its an addon for RP that is transfered to players through text i am pretty sure.
