Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

Vaugely familiar so I looked it up and was reminded why I’d forgotten.

Literally me, tbh

Im not sure if its better or worse than Piers Anthony novels. Gor is at least up front about its nature and the women are of age while Piers Anthony is an example of fantasy/sci fi authors putting their weird fetish in their writing but his fetish is jade witchery.

So I finished my starting area and got on an airship, but it took me to the area that doesn’t have lancers D: Is there another way? I want to switch before I get too high level.

EDIT: Nevermind looks like I go immediately there now as well.

Ah, you went to limsa first.

Yeah, gridania’s next.

Looks like it’s time to level up again.

As said, do the hunting log, do any fates you stumble across and you’ll get back to 15 in no time.

EDIT: Also, when you hit 15, you should talk to the smith in any of the inns and do the halls of novice.

it’ll give you gear as good as the 1st 3 dungeons.

I sometimes wonder why I am so friggin dumb. It took me this friggin long to realize that I like being a healer/support in games. I’ve been playing Hots and Overwatch for years as a healer and it never occured to me to try healing in WoW until relatively recently.

A peeve: My guildies being /spit on by a guild after they turned down a poaching attempt from the other guild in question.

I mean, that’s just uncalled for and also just rude.
Don’t harras people after they turn your offer down, if anything it just makes them unlikely to EVER want to join you in the future.

I’ve always found guild poaching for any kind of guild, be it raiding or rp etc, to always be really scummy.

It hasn’t helped that people I’ve seen doing it have been unsavory types.

It’s a very common thing, especially in the higher ranks of raiding though still frowned upon as it’s very unsportsman like.

But going to the point of spitting on members because the two I am aware of who turned a poach attemt down is uncalled for and really shows what kind of guild they got offered to join.

It’s just scummy and immature.

Everyone knows that the best way to show other people that you’re a nicer group of friends/people than their other ones is to actively harass them after they turn down an offer.

Wait…no.

Reminded that my ex thinks poaching is fine and could never see how scummy it was.

It has quite the internet community too.

I am still undecided if Blizzard were aware of these books or not when they named the ogre empire in WoD.

I mean it’s fun when considering last time a friend got poached (he did and enjoyed his time there) the previous guild were just mostly salty but didn’t go out their way to harras the poachers, which shows the amount of maturity between then and now.

Still scummy, but at least not immature.
This was at WR 700 and 1000/EU 300 and 500 respectively, compared to sub 1500 WR from the guys trying to poach and us who just do a niche of 2-day mythic raiding feat. RP’ers.

Game or IRL, poaching is scummy.

It is aye, but in this instance, they meant in game.

They were just like; “Raiding guilds only did one raid, so SSC guilds would poach from kara guilds etc.”

And I was like; if i’m in a kara guild and wanted to do SSC, I’d go into guild chat; “been nice, but I want to advance, so long!” then go join an SSC guild looking for more members. Not join one because they took one look at my gear and then /w “join us, we do SSC :)”

Yeah that’s the best way of going at it I think, this is a case of “Your logs are nice join us”.

I’m not chaining none of my guildies down and they turned the offers down themselves, it’s just the immature /spit on members who… don’t have anything to do with it that makes me sigh.

Wait, this exists? Wut…
