Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

I’ve occasionally been accused of setting up an echo chamber but my politics can be boiled down to ‘people should have what they need and give what they can’, with a side order of ‘hierarchy is inherently unjust, gets in the way of people having what they need and therefore should be dismantled’.

People can disagree with the latter statement and I’ll happily have a conversation about it, but the first? no, you get on board or go away.

But what about the rights of the 1% and their right to own 500 jetplanes? Surely that trumps the rights of people who just want to live?

Edit: Don’t block me please :frowning:

It does appear that you’re near enough guaranteed to get the 7 figures which is great. Then the 8th one is either a duplicate or the rare one which I got.

In which case it’s all good.

When said marketplace is fundamentally rigged by billionaire cash funded propaganda and dishonest actors, along with the bunch who champion free speech only insofar as it enables them platforming their attempts to use it to abolish it, considerations must be made.

Tom Hiddleston’s doing a great job as Loki in…Loki, but not really hooked by the premise. Will give it at least one more episode though, see what happens.

I think I’m just tired of marvel stuff tbh. Like it’s always ‘tolerably watchable’ at worst but I’m kinda bored of the whole thing.

somehow i got pulled into marvel fandom fanfics on ao3 without having really seen any movie and i feel like i don’t really need to at this point

i’ve only seen spiderman: homecoming lol

get owned mouse :mouse: :hammer:

Into the Spiderverse is one of the best films ever made

that’s not hyperbole

i’ve seen scenes of it, but i don’t think i could really get behind the animation style

i know people rly loved it, but mb it’s just my dumb eyes that see it a bit janky or smth?

It uses a big mix of art styles deliberately, so maybe seeing scenes out of context might look odd especially in the final set piece where the world looking odd and fractured is intentional

Highly highly recommend, you will care about a cartoon pig called Peter Porker

I love Loki a lot, but I am avoiding spoilers and not watching until the series is done. GoT burned me too bad.

the only time i started vaguely caring about marvel stuff was when i completely lost any and all sense of taste for a bit thanks to the 'rona hehe

Nah, I don’t mean art styles, moreso the animation - how a character moves etcetera.

yknow, the swagger of your average black teen or w/e the quote was

(it’s just my dumb brain dw)

The stuff around Loki is really dull (oh? time/heaven being described as a bureaucratic system? How unique and not overplayed) but seeing more Loki is worth the price of admission

I will buy.

Not a peeve, but I thought everyone needs to see a grumpy bunny today.
