I remember Yahtzees review of it mentioning that he thought it wasnt any real hatred behind it, just sheer stupidity. “Capcom arent hateful, theyre just stupid” or along those lines.
reminder: sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice
So @Starshade, I managed to complete the Arks in Frostpunk on Hard just now. Had the generator running on overdrive with way too low temperature, arks were dropping fast, but… I managed to save both New Manchester and the Arks. And I figured out the secret to making that scenario on time.
Abuse the emergency shift on your workshops maliciously, and get those automatons and your coal gain upgraded asap. I started doing it too late and made it with only an hour to spare, but if you do it earlier, you should be in the clear, especially if you can sneak in engineer automatons and just put those on the workshops to research 24/7.
Tl;dr, it’s possible to save both!
For the Epic gamers among you, Control is currently available for free till 17th.
Main scenario roulette has turned me into a toxic gamer
Just afk’d a castrum until I got kicked so that I could requeue and get prae
Relatable. Explains why you get the most event tokens from them. Those cutscenes become incredibly tiring and obnoxious very fast. And you can bet that no matter how fast you pull and kill mobs, it is still gonna take forever to complete.
I don’t actually mind prae since I can just afk most of it naturally due to the cutscenes and the xp is great but castrum just feels like complete waste of time since you gotta play the game more for a lesser reward.
Is exp even all that good? You can easily do 2 if not 3 dungeons at a leisurely pace in the time it will take you to speedrun prae (well maybe not exactly but you get what I mean). I guess I just really have no patience left for this thing, especially since you don’t get to use half of your abilities there due to scaling.
These scenarios, Sastasha and Copperbell mine are making me want to commit warcrimes.
I think it is. Never checked the exact numbers but it’s almost a full level’s worth of xp.
For dps maybe you’re right. For tank/healer you’re probably better off doing other dungeons. I wish they’d make cutscenes skippable and make a separate solo “queue” for people that quest for story’s sake.
Cutscenes in dungeons are cool until you need to grind them. Especially when unskippable.
Take a lesson game devs(WoW too), -STOP- making cutscenes or interactive cutscenes/“roleplay” unskippable if its something they player needs to repeat multiple times.
They used to be. They changed them to be explicitly not skip-able, instead of just ditching main scenario roulette entirely and turning those dungeons into solo events.
I just keep hoarding all these free games, but never actually play them. I find myself occupied with other games.
But one day, when I’m really bored - hopefully, I’ll return to those.
Do you really want to miss out on Gaius’ speech?
Heathens.
If you are thinking from a pure gameplay poV, Mordhau is far more nuanced and better experience in my opinion. It also has a relatively large skill ceiling (though some of the drags are literally unreadable on some weapons).
Chivalry 2 on the other hand is a far more casual friendly thing u can just smash with ur friends for a while.
Elden Ring News [heavy breathing]
it is.
I just DC if i get castrum and log onto the next character to start the queue all over again.
You get less than a 3rd of your EXP bar for castrum whereas you get nearly 3/4s for prae.
Its stupid.
hope you also shot them a report!
hate knowing we share realm with this type of players
I did, yes.
A friend finally got a Nintendo Switch and asked for game recs, so naturally I went through the list of good* indies to see which ones are on the switch and recommended them along with some of the good flagship titles.
*From my own taste and what others have said if I don’t like a genre/haven’t played.
