The OW2 skin updates they’re showing are just the updated basic skins for the… expansion. There are noticeable quality differences for some stuff but overall it will look pretty same-y for most people ye.

They used to be. They changed them to be explicitly not skip-able, instead of just ditching main scenario roulette entirely and turning those dungeons into solo events.

So they intentionally made the wrong decision, great

I just keep hoarding all these free games, but never actually play them. I find myself occupied with other games.

But one day, when I’m really bored - hopefully, I’ll return to those.

Same. Hoarded quite a few now and I can’t even speculate when I will even consider playing them. It’s even worse with several hundred steam games that I actually payed for over the years and haven’t touched.

I only hope the open world thing will not hurt the game. For me personally “open world” has stopped being a selling point and, in fact, makes me more sceptical.
Especially in the case of FROMsoftware games, meticulously designed level layout is an incredibly large part of souls games, so I hope they don’t do away with it entirely (eg. same kind of design for cities, sewers etc)

If they can pull off their usual quality with it I’m very much in on the open world thing.

When an Indie Game advertises itself a multiple choice narrative game but ends up giving you the same ending or path in general, no matter what choices you make… You can rude, smart, moronic, oblivious… None of that matters. The very example of the illusion of choice.

23 euros for a game that ain’t worth more than 15 and I’m being generous. Scumbags.
