Pet peeves: The return (Part 1)

I like this a lot. Have you per chance read the thread I made citing what sets a Paladin apart from a Cleric per the definitions in Rise of the Lich King and Of Blood and Honour? They go into detail about the Paladin ritual of empowerment.

I’ll give it a read!

Here you go

Paladin is a very muscular class to be quite honest with you.

Too bad there are these dorks called “Blond Nighties” or something who make everyone else look bad.

We are indeed.

pretty sure the paladin muscularity hierarchy between the races is

tauren > blood elf > dark iron > the rest > humans > regular dwarves > also tauren

Nice, I was on the right idea - having Forgemound’s soul be a fusion of fire and Light magic that burns and heals in equal measure, given the Dark Iron’s unique history.

Gives me some ideas for the initiation rite for Paladins of the Anvil - something like the initiate being made to forge (or steal) their own armour, then getting whacked with a ceremonial hammer. If their armour is too weak, or they don’t have faith in their abilities, they get crushed by it and die. If they survive, they’re infused by the Anvil’s power and become a paladin.

Might also change up the oath

“Do you, Tirion Fordring, vow to uphold the honor and codes of the Order of the Silver Hand?”
“I do,” Tirion replied earnestly.

“Do you vow to walk in the grace of the Light and spread its wisdom to your fellow man?”

“I do.”

“Do you vow to vanquish evil wherever it be found, and protect the weak and innocent with your very life?”

Tirion swallowed hard and nodded while saying, “By my blood and honor, I do.” He exhaled softly, overcome with emotion.

Instead of upholding the honour and codes of the Silver Hand, it could be the laws of the Dark Iron Nation, since judgment and law is a huge thing among them, and so forth.

Skyward Sword still good in it’s HD port to the Switch.
My only peeve is my own dumb self not getting the new glasses I am supposed to get… so I strained my eyes quite abit… Don’t be me.

So the Holy Light has Tenacity, Compassion and Respect.

Something like “Do you vow to serve the Dark Iron Clan, body and soul”, “Do you vow never to show weakness to an ally, or mercy to an enemy?” and something else it’s too hot to think properly aaaaa

“Do you vow to uphold the laws of the Dark Iron and judge without hesitation all who would break them?”

Compassion for your clan, Tenacity for your allies/foes and Respect for the laws

Ah, meant Holy Light as in the church - Dark Iron paladins would have different virtues.

At a guess, probably Power [might makes right], Cunning [attack where your enemy is weakest] and Preservation [save yourself, but save the clan first]

The queue time for a DPS to get into a TW dungeon is outrageous.

What TW is it this week?

Warlords, but sadly not the cool dungeons - it’s Everbloom, Slag Mines, Iron Docks, Auchindoun and another one I forget

WoD

Shadowmoon Burial Grounds.

Think that’s the only one I like.

It being WoD however is probably why not many people are doing it.

Even as someone freshly levelling to 60 it wasn’t really worthwhile. 184 gear drops when I can buy an almost full set of ilvl 200 gear pretty cheaply, and random heroics give 197?

I just did my 5 and stopped - UBRS and Grimrail are my favourite dungeons from WoD and neither are here sadly

The weekly gives normal Sanctum of Domination gear, so… 226?

Which sounded great at first, but after doing Korthia for a week I’m sitting at potential full 226 gear anyway.
