So for me, I wanted to epitomise that idea of dark iron society (even post-Ragnaros) being quite brutal. There are much fewer dwarves in Shadowforge than there used to be but the land around is practically inhospitable and full of orcs, so weakness gets you killed.
The paladin order, therefore, focuses on constant improvement through strength or cunning, and on self-reliance - they carry all their equipment with them (and trade for or seize what they need), and their magic is powerful but not kind. Like a hammer striking a sword, being infused with Light from a Dark Iron paladin will probably kill you if you’re too weak.
Forgemound is a travelling paladin who is looking to find artifacts, techniques or allies that he can use to make himself and the clan stronger.
(I’m assuming it’s serious because I can’t read tone on the internet, hi.)
It’s not so much complimented, it’s, mh. Saying “You’re so talented” on that is more or less saying “you were blessed at birth with talent” when art is a (several) skills that artists have been working on for years, decades. Not “wow you’re so good, you’ve been working so hard!” and that feels a bit, invalidating of all said hard work, if that makes sense?
This is on a new 60, I forgot when you start in the Maw there’s no Eye, but while doing the intro with Ve’nari the Jailer gets all Sauron “I see you!” and the Eye pops up.
I’d hoped it would be less obnoxious once you’d unlocked Korthia on one character and remove the eye, but nooooo, NO fun allowed, SILLY consumer!
This is why I’ve made a conscious effort to remove ‘talent’ from my vocab when talking about peoples art. I know they’ve got where they are primarily on effort, practice and hard work. Nothing about ‘being born talented’ or any of that guff.
Having your own social media presence outside of the big general sites is very undervalued (because it costs money). The trend will continue until it bites the first big gaming thingy in the butt.
It’s your magical guitar talent points that you were born with!
i still don’t understand why anyone would have a problem with this. were their warhammer animations like, used in some mediums that they wouldn’t have been after or??
