Anyway I’m not sure if I’d class this as a peeve or just an amusing observation, but the “friendship perk” system in Fallout 4 means that you’ll max a companion’s affection rating, they’ll give you a long speech about how much they respect and cherish your friendship (or romance) and that you’re friends forever and totally different from everyone else in the commonwealth
…and then you immediately dismiss them to recruit someone else because gotta get them perks!!!

At least you’re normally leveling up a few of those at the same time rather than one at a time individually…though not always.
Also I totally kept meeting up with Sumi after maxing her out.
My greatest Persona 5 regret is not maxing out everyone before the end. I was still missing Futaba and Haru before the credits for Royal 
thats why new game+ exists as the “confidant” run. but your first will always be full of regrets i maxed out Ryuji, Ann, Makoto Yusuke and Sumi before the end of Royal. missed Futaba Haru and Akechi

i couldn’t bring myself to new game+ after like 70 hours of persona 5 royal. i was legitimately drained by the end of it
haru was an annoying one because she was never around when i had the free time. futaba i tended to prioritise lower than other stuff because tbh i didn’t like her that much
i waited some time before i did it myself, played persona 4 golden beforehand to go back and steal sumi’s heart and have akechi spit in my face. worth
if you think its bad, the dude that introduced me to persona finished 6 consecutive runs while i was finishing my first
really want to play this, i started the steam version but ran into the age old problem of not enough PC time. really hoping for a switch port

Does {not) maxing out certain confidants affect the ending or something? Or why would that result in “regrets”
some confidants not maxxed will result in differences. like if you dont max maruki you dont get to access royals 3rd semester. you dont get kasumi to rank 5 before that, you lose some story in the semester. if you have akechi at rank 10 you get a slightly diffrent ending
theres a good chance of it, the persona event this year will have several announcements. persona 4 arena remake is all but confirmed. fingers crossed on some switch ports/p3 remakes. because everyone whose played 5 needs to play 4

Mmm, yes and no, since the third semester only really happens because you spent the time talking to Maruki. The events wouldn’t unfold without that.
