How bad is the faction strength grind in Veilguard? So far (I’ve just recruited Davrin and returned with him) I’ve done every side quest that came up, but rewards in faction strength seemed pretty paltry.
If it’s going to be a boring mechanical “fill the bar” thing, I might say screw it and just finish the main storyline whenever I can. In ME2, by contrast, there was no grind, only one quest per companion (and the right decisions, of course) was required to get the best ending.
There isn’t really a grind honestly. As long as you do the zone side quests (of which there aren’t really many and they follow narratives) you will have it maxed out by the end. As long as you do side quests and sell your valuables there isn’t a grind.
Why is art difficult?
For something that has a lot of people blubbering on about things being “nothing special” I sometimes feel like half of those don’t actually do a lot of art considering efforts needed for some things

It can get slightly thrown off by server issues so there’s a chance you actually had it happen outside of the usual schedule during launch week.
I am so happy I have my lore bible in an excel sheet which also includes the week count for my current book, means I can actually look up how long two characters have been together for.
Iron Bull: “The Qunari don’t pick the smartest or strongest leaders, we pick those who are willing to make the decisions and live with the consequences.”
Me, looking at modern politics: yeah man sounds like a great political system you got, very cool!
I’ve reached my next conversation with Solas (after the BioWare Choice™) and once again I wish we could side with him. By the looks of it, we should have just let him finish the damn ritual.
“And then Solas tore down the Veil, and thousands died (and you among them), and hark, their fate sucketh. But the rest lived happily ever after. The end.”
So I talked to Harding about the Inquisition, and the way she talked about Leliana implied that she’s not Divine Victoria. Was it so hard to add another world state option and record another line? This is pretty basic stuff that a lot of Inquisition players would like to see reflected in the playthrough.
I find the Solas discourse to be deeply funny as an external viewer of it all. Bald Elf Guy fully admits his plan will cause the planetary equivalent of a genocide and yet this has sent people into spiralling social media wars over whether he was actually being honest or exaggerative.
Bonus points when its someone whose social media has 1 million different political causes attached to it, only for them to backtrack when its a Bald Elf Guy doing it - I don’t know if I respect the ability to have your moral compass leave your body in the presence of a Bald Elf Guy or if it moderately terrifies me.
Also really weird that we just never see Fen’harel’s agents and those thousands of Elves who joined his cause! What’s that about Bioware!
Unless these political views are about the game it IS just a game.
just because i let my companions get away with their worst traits (or i slaughter a whole village for funsies) in a game doesn’t mean I would not punch somebody doing that IRL nor would i go murder a whole village for funsies IRL.
Yes I revel in playing chaotic evil characters in games, i blame Fable.
