I just explain it as it’s Alistair forced to make decisions that he is blatantly not ready for and is panicking. He’s the only Grey Warden, and it all comes down to him stopping a Blight. Despair takes hold, and he makes mistakes that he thinks are the right option.
Like he has the chance to get some elves on his side…or a pack of super dangerous werewolves. One golem guy who is gonna off himself…or a whole army of immortal golems that don’t suffer from the Blight.
Unfortunately they still didn’t work since Darkspawn claimed total victory royale, but he probably had a better go of it than with some other choices.

According to some people Elden Ring can only be “truly” beaten by a strength build with no summons and no magic.
I don’t think they understand that the old “dex levelling” meme is… well a meme.
But they also don’t seem to understand simple game mechanics so yeah, checks out.
They can screw off.
All my builds are either; dex/faith hybrid or faith/int hybrid with 2 int-only builds (one’s an int/dex hybrid)
That is what I enjoy, that is the WEAPON archtypes I enjoy.
EDIT: My friend is a dex/faith/arcane enjoyer, yep. I got her using Rivers of Blood, she loves that katana and I’m not taking the joy of bleeding some bosses to death from her.
EDIT2: She calls RoB “Corpse Piler” because that was also the first time she got into using weapon arts.

I’m still struggling with my level 265+ character what to settle on. I’ve bounced around Dex, some faith, bits of Arcane.
Problem is I both like co-op AND was hoping to do thematic Invader builds… but I either have to cleave to meta or just Perish ._. And I dunno anymore.
Edit: I mostly use Bolt of Gransax, Godfrey Icon and Shard to bring an electric 50 cal to the Lands Between…
Outside of seamless Co-op-- I don’t bother with other people so I just do whatever I see fit at the time.

I say grab yourself good health and defence stats, get your cosplay on and then just go do funny invasions.
Unless you get really, really good at pvp you’ll never have fun against the gank squads if you go in with normal invasion mindset.

I said this, we are currently trying certain moody red head who is fire resistant so, she’s onto mainhanding her other katana and I may go back to black knife/blade of culling swapping.
I’m using Rellana’s twinswords so I also do fire damage occasionally.
I’m not apolitical but I try not to get involved too often because politics is an inherently divisive topic and bla bla bla etc etc
I’ve never been so rattled by the actions of a single politician (single in that he is one man and in that he is unable to maintain a marriage). Like
I hate that he feels bold enough to throw that out there when all the cameras are on him. I hate that he’s likely to get away with it, I hate that it emboldens other morons with the same hateful belief to act as he does, I hate that despite everyone’s best efforts the most callous and hateful people always seem to get out on top.
I could say - and have said - more, but if I don’t stop here I’ll probably say something that I’d come to regret.

The bad news - they’re currently in power.
The good news - we’ve not seen Everyone’s best efforts, yet.
Because those involve picking up bricks and dealing with Nasties the only way they should be dealt with.
