Pet peeves: The return (Part 10)

So MIRs are an awful experience.

Forty minutes of thudding, whirling and holding my breath.

Do not recommend.

I remember some character on my roster had them at revered but i cant for the life recall who. I only know its one that got scaled down badly over the years coz its a character ive not played since the Legion prepatch. Time to bite the bullet.

Everybody around me is sick.

Help.

Just another saturday night at the club amirite girlies

You’d have to double check your mountlist but it could be worth parking one or two alts in Arathi (BfA) to do a rotation of the mount-dropping rares there once a week.

Swapping through alts is a good shout anyway, as sometimes class/race specific mounts can be added to the count that way

Got all the Arathi mount drops. Only one im missing is Blackpaw in Darkshore and ive 10 alts parked on that damn bear since BFA. It has been very stubborn.

Remember to log classes with class specific mounts as well.
Orderhall mounts count for everyone but has to be counted on the class they’re useable ON to add to the counter.

You’re also missing a bunch of easy to obtain ones from the Garrison Stables from WoD and a few zone ones like Argus, Vale of Eternal Blossoms (corrupted) etc

Speaking of collections, does anyone have any handy Idiots Guides to easy-to-get/checklists for Toys as well? Need to dent that 100 needed to get the Shredder, pretty please :<

…im missing one’s from the stable? Tf they were the first things i got back in warlords

It’s either that or armourys (likely) bugged.
I don’t have nor want a sub so I can’t tell you what you miss outside that :< or it’s garrison invasions, all the recolours are the same to me from that expac

Imagine if the armoury allowed you to filter and sort, and showed the sources for stuff you didn’t have.

OR

they could just offload that work to ad-glutted wowhead instead.

Or even if the achievements tab in the game did so. Get off with this ‘hidden achievement’ stuff and just list them, the related options for getting them etc.

They sort of manage with the transmog menu so I dunno why they don’t the rest.

Ill err on the side of it being bugged because its telling me i dont own the mount i am currently sitting on ive owned with 8 years

Do individual Grey Wardens get paid? Like, whether it’s a salary or a stipend or whatever you wanna call it, do they get a regular lump of cash from Weisshaupt? Or do they just survive off of whatever they had before+the material stuff from the Wardens (food, armour, etc.)+whatever individuals donate to them?

They must get money from somewhere, to pay the people who build all the fortresses they apperantly need for reasons.

The lore might say the nations fereldan olae etc build them but… no. I don’t buy that. It’s a massive investment for a nation state to an independent group for very little benefit, especially given the wardens don’t really reveal -why- they matter.

Nm if the outlaw decision from inquisition were canon, nobody is giving them anything.

Probably not, honestly - the whole thing of Grey Wardens is that they have treaties to take anything they need and they have enough clout to enforce them most of the time.

Like ‘okay bye then, enjoy the next Blight : )’ is a serious threat

Weisshaupt/the Wardens do have huge sway in the government of the Anderfels, so I assume they get hefty chunks of taxes there, along with donations from the other nations.

And any Wardens that had property/titles before don’t auto-give it up, so maybe they get some whenever a noble decides to sign up (or gets conscripted). Like, Warden Cousland can still become King/Queen.

I can believe that the organisation has funds to do what it needs to do, I’m just wondering about individuals. When Blackwall or Duncan are wandering around recruiting people, do they pay for food and drink? Or do they just flash the “Grey Warden, suck it up” card and eat the taverns into bankruptcy?

That’s what I’d go with, and that this impacts them as well in regards to how fresh on the mind a Blight still is or isn’t - the longer ago, the less likely it is they get what they want and all that!

Of course, in Veilguard onward Dragon Age they probably kindly ask for it, instead, and will offer some coin anyways, and not just some, but enough so that the family that runs the tavern will be able to live comfortably for a while because anything else would be mean and not okay :relieved: If people don’t want to give them food they will thank them for their time and tell them that they understand and respect this decision, too
