Okay, it wasn’t as bad as I feared. I won three games and lost three, not bad.

Fascists won twice, and both times it was because a liberal president — the same player in both cases — got Hitler elected chancellor. And once he accidentally passed a fascist policy as a liberal chancellor because he took the one card from the “reject” pile rather than the two cards from the “pass” pile. He didn’t even notice that he was looking at one card rather than selecting one out of two as he should have.

I hope he will be more attentive in the future.

I’m not sure when it happened but I’m convinced people simply stopped resurrecting fallen group members in dungeons. The assumption is to never wait for help, release and run back no matter the cost. Even if it’s from the other side of the map.

I’m blaming mythic+ mentality wedded to weekly quest speedruns where you must go fast or fail and stopping to help the group in any way lowers your imaginary brain score.

For me 90% of the time I want to res but the tank has already pulled. The other 10% consists of me ressing but the person releasing anyway, and me failing to find where I put my res spell.

and very occasionally not ressing out of spite

I don’t obsess over parses or anything, but getting a 95% one (and 97% for my ilvl)* has really buoyed me

I might actually be good at this video game after all

*of everyone who has logged their damage done to the boss, my damage was in the 95th percentile

I’m approaching the siege battle for the second go at Red Hand of Doom and the party has decide again to go mess with the invading army directly in the days leading up to the siege - despite my repeated reminders that the horde is 4000+ strong with dragons and giants and manticores and all sorts of scary assistance.

Guess I’m gonna have to drop a brutal ‘scouting party’ encounter on them that drops a few to 0 to make them back off because if they do try and mess with the army directly it is gonna be a TPK.

Though it does make me want to toss a party of 20s against the full might of the Horde in a white room scenario to see if they could hold them off. My guess is no, simply because the volume of d20s eventually starts turning misses into crits…but there’s always a chance.

One more dragon hunter to 80.

Got the last one (I like having 4 dragon hunters around the campfire)

Caught the Baldur’s Gate 3 fever. Playing my half-orc as a Dark Urge character for the first time and it feels so good with a plot thread of my own character to explore.

“Explore” comes at a cost to the bardic arts, however, which I did not see coming.

I hate how fake everything feels these days.

Politicians say they need to and will do this and that, but then they never do or in fact do thw complete opposite and nobody holds them accountable. It’s gotten to the point that I feel most people just accept it. And the rats get away with it.

Schools churn out highly esucated people with trap diplomas that never get them any work. Equally, kids are lied to that if you just do good enough in school you will do good in life- This is patently false as well. And you are taught subjects and things that you will never (0/0) have any use for but get taught next to no skills to help you go through life.

They say our societies are just but in practice justice is sold to the highest bidder. Regular people can’t afford to go to court unless their back is against the wall due to legal expenses for non-criminal cases.

We go to work where we have to smile and play pretend we are a family and passionate when in reality work is a simple exchange, as it has been for the vast majority of our societies. You are expected to spend time (on your free time) to go to get togethers to “connect” and to “deepen bonds and teamwork” with your colleagues. And yet, at the slightest sight of trouble, you are cast out. Or if thibgs are tough, the leaders and CEO’s never take the trouble off their skins, but from the backs of all thw grunts. And you are supposed to be thankful for all of that. You get told you are appreciated and get thrown pizza parties at, but when you ask for things that would actually help you out or matter to you you are almost universally told “no”.

We talk to our friends, loved ones, families and total strangers alike in half truths or complete lies noy to upset, offend and/or stand out from the crowd. It is so rare to meet someone who tells you how things are and are genuine to you from the get go.

Oh and don’t even get me started on media and news. It’s all clickbait bs or fake news or “expert this” and “expert that” with stupid appeal to authority bastard arguments. Reality is truly what you decide yourself, most objectivity is either gone or rapidly disappearing. And the stupid soyjak mouth gaping faces in every and all video thumbnails.

A valid crashout? Well, it’s the peeves thread.

He’s vile, unapologetically repugnant and clearly has ill intent for all of the cosmos.

I love him.

If I keep seeing the word “slammed” to describe people disagreeing or complaining about something, I’m going to go insane.

Partner was up to visit for two weeks, and we had a great time. Lots of going places, good food, etc etc.

Now the house feels empty, and I don’t like it ;_;
