Linux seems to be used by the most obnoxious people on the planet, which does hurt my willingness to learn anything about it somewhat
I could aid any of you in installing and configuring Linux as a dual boot with Windows, but why fix what isnât broken? You will likely encounter problems with running at least some games out of the box, and will have to apply some per-game configuration to make them work (which, thankfully, at least only needs to be done once per game).
Also, any games with kernel anticheats wonât work, period, but you should never be running them anyway. Alien code in the kernel is a rootkit, capable of doing all kinds of fishy things and completely hiding them from the operating system and from you.

I have enough tech knowledge to deal with Linux (just havenât done anything with it in years so super rusty) but being into making (digital) art really doesnât gel well with it. Could move over to completely separating stuff from my PC now that you donât have to use ipads to be mobile with that stuff but: money.

Linux use is correlated with tech skills, which, unfortunately, are negatively correlated with social skills. Thatâs not universal, I know some really nice people using Linux, but I admit there are too many obnoxious ones.
If youâre willing to learn, though, I hope I can be a non-obnoxious teacher!

for a lot of commercial uses - if you just want a machine that runs a program for you - it is just better than windows
if you like tinkering with your pc to get every ounce of system resource out of it itâs great too.
if you want your computer to just work out the box then it is quite bad.
Youâre good, theyâre just really loud

Tbh after years of faffing with pcs⌠well thereâs a reason my gaming shifted largely to console. Save blizzard games.

⌠honestly aside from wow and d4 Im not sure what I use my pc for 99% of the time. Background YouTube videos mostly I think.
The only console I ever owned was Dendy, a Famicom clone, waaay back in childhood long before I had a computer.
I absolutely loathe the concept of consoles for a multitude of reasons that these margins are too small to contain.

Also, I am laughing at The Duskborn - people blindsided by 'Hey, this looks like Fromsoft what do you mean it IS Fromsoft?!', and then 100% of reactions being Losing Their Damn Minds at legally distinct Bloodborne.
Itâs like Sony camped on a beloved IP for 10 years, did nothing with it, and both Fromsoft and Nintendo went âWelp, screw you guys quite franklyâ and just kept going.
