Google’s search assistant defaulting to your main language and even translating links (badly) remains funny.
It translated Rogue Trader into Unserious Merchant and that’s some backstroke of the west type shenanigans.

Reddit threads that get auto translated when you put in English search terms will never not be funny.
Apparently everyone on that website is very polite actually. Turns out picking the formal instead of informal “you” is somehow still an issue for translation tools, occasionally.

Living next to a heel walker is giving me tick damage today.
It is ancient knowledge that a vast majority of sci-fi and fantasy sounds very corny if translated to Swedish.
Especially so if its also a poor translation.

We have a solution for that; lobotomy
I just have my UI language set to English everywhere.
But then there’s the problem where wherever I am, Google identifies my location by IP and displays results in the local language.

If I remember right. It basically replaces Kai with a generic cerberus assassin enemy, he has all his voicelines and emails removed and it alters the cutscenes to cut his presence to the bare minimum required. Thane still dies I think.

Nothing beats Frodo’s home in Buckland being called something equivalent to “Sex Den” or “Sex Lair” in the Dutch translation, along with Eowyn calling the Witch King a word that can often also be used for “slur for female dogs” .

Corporate spying and data mining has got to the point where it feels like having a stalker going through your garbage. Someone should actually look into that, do a research study, does google know more about you than a hypothetical actual stalker would.
