Pet peeves: The return (Part 2)

As it made sense for Alith Anar, sure, but I still don’t like proliferating a mechanic that was supposed to be unique and special - especially one this powerful.

Maybe if you make it super limited like it is for Tzeentch.

Alith shouldn’t have it - yeah he’s the ambush king but his is a stealth ambush style and he already has underway jumping to differentiate him

On another note, my painting room gets freed up again after christmas, and I am of a mind to get back into it.

I think I might finally fall for the Tau temptation after all… Just to get something in between breaks while painting my old titan, since that’s a years-long project.

And raiding, don’t forget raiding.
It’s best for Sniktch.

Don’t take away my ambush cheese. It’s one of my few joys.

I guess because the other factions represent the von Carsteins? Really weird idea otherwise, all things considered, tbh

Personally I’d give her the High Elf intrigue mechanic, maybe slap on a Skaven Undercity/Vampire Coast cove/TWW3 chaos cult mechanic on, add maybe some human units to the roster as well as maybe some Tomb King stuff, and throw out all of the zombie-ish units from her roster

A Coven Throne hero/vampire lord mount’s a natural inclusion as well!

Too late now but I’d split the VC into different factions by bloodline, blood dragons looking to undo the Thirst, strigoi looking to reestablish Mourkain, Lahmians taking over their rivals and von Carsteins of course bent on usurping Franz, legitimacy mechanic and all.

a way to differentiate the ambush stances [not balanced]:

alith anar: ambushes when he shadow jumps into an enemy army, high success chance with regular ambush

beastmen: ambush when raiding, maybe reduced vigor penalties for raiding when attacking (still tired on defense)

skaven: mostly as is, someone’s gotta be basic

sniktch: has a level up upgrade to have his army be invisible as per ambush when not in a stance except for a turn or two after attacking an army or settlement

Empire provinces get an inherent malus to detecting skaven ambushes because as we know, an underground society of scheming ratmen is nothing but a preposterous fabrication of addled minds better fit for the pyre than voicing wrong-headed nonsense.

can’t languish under skaven corruption if they don’t exist

[balthasar taps his mask]

The average citizen can’t tell the difference between skaven corruption making the province fall into ruin and the regular old corruption by the legitimate authorities.

The Reiksguard boldly ride into battle to do away with the Emperor’s greatest foes - those that oppose the forthcoming Altdorf Window Tax

The automa use the same pickaxe as Warcraft 3 peasants. A grand design in the making. Literally planned since Warcraft 3.

No patience for petty uprisings. What do the smallfolk know? Look at that disgusting, teeming mass of peasants yonder; practically covered in filth and so unshaven that they look to have fur!

I could stretch this a fair bit longer.

You lose one rat-catcher to a tragic knife accident and suddenly the town is overrun with rodents smh

Seven years ago today, WoD was unleashed upon the world.

We’re getting old.

The last time we had any decent content, even if we little of it :pensive:

It’s so awkward seeing a 2021 model hold a 2004 item.

No u
