If anduin had wed his dwarf bodyguard, Ironforge under Dagran II would push for a dynastic marriage and union, the eastern continent truly becoming a dwarf empire.
Even remotely interesting political writing concepts require a minimal IQ of 100, and we all know Danuser is stuck in the 80 range.

Even if so, the men and women of the playable races actually look like members of the same species, which I cannot say for several of those in Warcraft. Which was what I was getting at.

i feel like ironforge should be a much bigger deal than it is in lore currently. it always seemed more like a capital for the alliance than stormwind did, but maybe that’s down to it being the hub during vanilla more than any actual story reason
or honestly just dwarves in general, powerful lads and lasses that need some attention (the good kind).

also stormwind always feels like it’s recovering from some terrible event, where ironforge is just sat there in the mountains without a care in the world. it’s been a long time since the orcs came knocking and failed to break in

Their gender and sex is also not inherently set in stone as they’re called life-phases because Argonians transition often multiple times through out their lives. Whatever you’re assigned at birth does not translate to adulthood, or even old age!
As for why breasts, a dev confirmed that they’re egg-laying mammals like platypuses. They breastfeed their children.
