I wouldn’t mind a WoW expansion focusing on racial politics, and a ‘Cold War’ type deal between the two factions. Hell, dissolve the factions altogether and give us free companies.
Better yet, end Shadowlands with our heroes sacrificing themselves to bind the Jailor or something. Then, each of our characters becomes the paragon and idol of that class, under their Legion title, and the class storylines in the follow-up expansion revolve around us (the new adventurers) searching for the hidden tombs of our original characters in order to learn the secrets of their power.
Regional Cold War politics in the background. Azeroth graphical/questing revamp. Minimum ten year timeskip. Give it. Give it now.

Though seriously that would be a cool, if slightly daunting premise for RP. Conjuring up ten years worth of personal growth and experiences. Adding then the fact that to most races, a decade will take its toll in terms of physical ageing as well.

I absolutely hate the thought. It’s kind of the same as people that complain that sexual dimorphism in WoW is annoying (they are wrong, it is in fact very cool), and want to make the sexes look more similar.
So long as they don’t get rid of the original options, I’m fine with those existing as additional customization options. It’s not like they harm the artistic or thematic integrity of the game, when there’s very little of that in the first place.
I’m gonna need a source on what dev, because there’s been A LOT of dispute between devs about the Argonians.
They breastfeed them tree sap to be specific bc tree sap drinking lizard people. They’re a hivemind for the Hist Trees which are themselves a wild concept and v cool. (This is more a note for what and why)
I don’t know enough about the Tyranids to comment, but Argonians get their souls from the Hist when they ingest the sap from said trees, who btw are also kind of sentient??

pandaren
worgen
dwarves
look similar without diluting the conscious art-style reference and background that WoW has built over the decades.
It’s the equilevant of asking for female Space Marines in Warhammer (also unbased), or how Orks in Warhammer all look mega masculine (despite being genderless mushrooms), good orcs in LoTR (unbased) or anything similar. None of them break the setting but they absolutely would dillute them.
If you put different vegetables into a bowl you can very easily distinguish the carrots from tomatoes and lettuce etc. If you however run them through a blender now you have a stale mix. There are settings where that’s been built ground-up as the status-quo. WoW isn’t one of those.
Especially since there are races that also have very little sexual dimorphism in WoW. Humans, (all) elves, both gnomes, and perhaps most famously vulpera (whom I still can’t distinguish to this date).

We don’t know this. Argonians don’t live purely off of Hist Sap. It’s important in their early lives as it gives them sentience and affects their biology and the two co-exist in a delicate symbiosis, but there’s nothing to indicate that they brestfeed Hist Sap to them given we know they literally lick it off the tree.
Far more likely is that they just feed their babies the same way we do for sustenance.
