Same here. 40 euros is still too much so I’m a little on the hesitant side, I’m sure the product is top quality but I can’t blow that level of money right now. An instant buy would have to be between 30-35 euros

Imo not many games even deserve to cost upwards of £30 unless they’re like 20+ hours of content and the gameplay is absolutely solid. Most can safely wait either until seasonal sales or their cost goes down after a few months.
As i have said before; the only AAA title i have bought in quite some time for full price is Elden Ring.
A game I currently have 55 hours in and still nowhere near the end (I blame alting)

Recently grabbed Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 for only £10 and it’s season pass for £3. 85% off on the Eshop! Even if the spiderman swinging feels jank AF it’s worth it.

Unfortunately the world we live in.
I don’t mind paying that 30 euros for a AA game even if it’s just 15 hours of content… I mean, I bought Spiritfarer on a sales and the game (at least narratively) is well worth the original price tag after 8 enjoyable hours so far.
But yeah, I’d rather wait until a game sunks to a dirt cheap price between 30-40 euros depending or even lower. I rarely buy games on release and the last one I did this year is Stray, I think you’d like it Cro, cat in a Cyberpunk like universe trying to make it back home and it’s made I believe by those same guys who made Journey, Outer Wilds, Pathless and Flower… So it’s more about the experience more like. Very rare again that I buy on release, I don’t regret Pathfinder WotR though, I just regret the bugs but I had been warned heh.

Been highly enjoying the Starcraft 2 co-op missions, but especially because my current choice of commander is Stukov, a Zerg-infested human with an entire army of infested humans
and a big chunk of the missions are ‘oh no, The Infested are invading’ and it is never not funny to defeat them by throwing wave after wave of infested at them

— Install an adblocker
— Install an extension that stops videos from autoplaying
— Click the cookies popup, scroll down to find and click the “Reject all” button
— Close the “Sign up/log in” popup
— Close the “Sign up for our newsletter” popup
— If on mobile, close the “View in app? Yes / No, but ask me every time” popup
— In terminal cases, use the adblocker to block the “select 3 interests before you continue” popup
— Scroll down from some obnoxious header in huge fonts on a blurred background taking half the screen
— Read the actual content, which for some reason is 500px wide on desktop despite most people having at least 1920px wide screens by now
— Realize that all navigation links are JavaScript and can’t be opened in new tabs by middle-clicking
