Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

Dunno. For once in my lifetime, I’m seeing the opposite being true now and then. Perhaps that’s a silver lining to the cheeto they propped up as their Strong-Man-Leader for four years, but the EU of today does not seem to so eagerly play the part of little sibling.

Pushing too far has a response but further pushes aren’t opposed meaningfully by the political center, still obsessed with civility and procedure.

One zandalari shaman to 50!

This is such a step back in the wrong direction. The US is sickening.

Every one of those politicians and judges who supported this and voted in favor deserves nothing good in their lives. They are all equally horrible monsters.

In the land that boasts of being a great democracy, women have less rights than guns.

In addition to what Stonetower said, Clarence Thomas (the Supreme Court justice who’s married to Ginni Thomas, a big player in the Jan 6 clownery) also wrote that this should be followed up by several other laws that were founded on the same basis as Roe v Wade, which includes contraceptives, same-sex relationships and marriages - and funnily enough, which he didn’t write but I’m pretty sure would also follow - interracial marriages.

Clarence Thomas deserves to burn.

Case in point: it already was difficult for women to get themselves sterilized in (parts of) the US. Even if there is a good medical reason for it the doctors will just say: “You might want a kid in the future,” and turn you down.

If you were unfortunate enough to suffer a miscarriage you can get investigated if you were to blame for it. Police may get involved for this.

Big oof peeve: Psyching myself up all day to ask a woman I am on chatty terms with and am attracted to if she is single only to chicken out at the last minute and instead just going right home. Thanks brain, you’re such a team player!

The old man George Carlin said it best himself (paraphrasing): “These people are not pro-life. They are anti-women. They will do anything for the unborn but once you’re born - you’re on your own. Right up until you’re old enough to serve in the army. They want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers.”

Figures that on the same day Germany gets rid of the stupid anti-advertisement law for abortions the US does this.
I wish every single one of the people who enabled the current changes in the US a very happy go sit on a cactus, for every day of your life.

More likely that protests will be banned so as not to “intimidate” and inconvenience the powerful as the country gets increasingly authoritarian. All in the name of freedom, of course as laws continue to disenfranchise voters to guarantee electoral victories in spite of a conspicuous lack of popular support for candidates and their policies.

You mean Loving v. Virginia. He intentionally didn’t mention this because, surprise surprise, just like the rest of them he is a massive hypocrit.

Loving v. Virginia took place in Virginia and overturned the state’s law against interracial marriage. That law is still in place today but overruled by that landmark case. Clarence Thomas lives in Virginia.

This is Clarence Thomas: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarence_Thomas

This is his wife, Ginni Thomas: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginni_Thomas

Hmmm gee I wonder why there was no mention of overturning Loving v. Virginia. It’s such a mystery. Ah well, he must have forgotten or something, I guess.

A big reason why pointing out right-wing hypocrisy is an exercise in futility is that it’s a virtue to them. Forcing someone else to do something that they do not is an exercise in power, as is saying one thing, doing the opposite, and facing no consequences.

They truly do not care about anything but power

It’s sad because it’s true.

I am very angry about whats going on across the pond in the backwards landmass there so I will focus on the important things that don’t make me angry…

Happy Birthday DP!!! I hope you’re having a good one

I have Crimson Shroud, but i do not have Infinite Corridor.

there are 12 Deaths on my screen but none can kill me and I’m not killing them very fast either. (Infinite Corridor halves any mob it hits current health, makes killing death faster than this)

I guess I’ll kill one eventually

(Vampire Survivors)

EDIT: I didn’t need to kill death, just survive for 31 minutes, we’re on minute 45 (and 15 Deaths)

If anyone wants to get me a gift, the leather robe from Battle of Dazar’alor would be lovely.

Now my nightborne hunter is in hell AKA bastion.

Maldraxus is hell.
Especially on the eyes. It’s like going to an old folks home. Probably smells like one too.
