Some Americans (not saying all, just some) have it in their heads that gun laws only work if there is 0 (zero) shootings.
Because apparently if you canât plug a leak in your ship entirely, it is best to just leave it as is. Or make a few more holes and give every crewmate a bottle of water for good measure.
Just to prove my point above; Lauren Boebert is on twitter parroting what i just said.
Jesus christ.
EDIT: Spelling.
Why are you surprised someone is spouting nonsense on Twitter? Should be expected.
Iâm not.
For those not in the know, she is a Republican Rep.
Also only brought her up because it crossed my imgur feed, not 2 hours from when I said;
Randomly remembered the phrase âUnconcious people donât want teaâ at 5:30am and struggling to restrain a laughing fit.

(just not US independence)
Ah, excellent. National Barbequed Spare Ribs Day.
Just what Iâve been waiting for.
Arenât you from Iceland?! Thatâs crazy to hear, I am very sorry.
Americans - and this is highlighted very much in their movies - have little, if any, sense of history beyond the U.S. itself. To them, all the issues of the world must be similar, or identical, to the U.S.'s issues.
Would unironically help the USA to deal with a lot of problems: not only by lowering mass shootings, and thus crime rates, but also (since this is an important issue) by de-escalating conflict between cops and the criminals: as the latter has access to lower firepower, massive amounts of strength wouldnât be required.
Now you listen here I didnt catch enough musket balls on the battlefields of Lexington to give my body the texture of a swiss cheese all for King and Country just for there to suddehly be a 4th July BBQ stand at my local Tescos !!
As an atheist edgelord I choose indivisible day but Iâm still honouring caesar salad day because mmmmmâŚ

A related peeve after opening that link: websites where content fades in, with an animation, only after you scroll to it. Whatâs the purpose? Itâs annoying and distracting.
(Whenever I see something like this, I assume that itâs because some designer was so excited by the thought that they could do it that they didnât once question whether they should have.)
Form over function is the cornerstone of the modern day web design philosophy.
But then thereâs also MySpace and Facebook.

Somewhat naive to think the police care about any potential weapons anyone might have. Theyâve proved already they can de-escalate situations with an active! shooter!! when the shooter is a white man. And they shoot someone unarmed running away 60 times in the back because they were black.
As tensions rise globally, police will only get increasingly indistinuishable from military with mine-proof vehicles, automatic weapons for minor disputes and so on as a direct result of war industry.
I pre-ordered a steam deck today. It wonât arrive for a hundred years but hey, might as well join the queue.
You get a like just for quoting Jurassic Park.
âŚI completely forgot that line was in Jurassic Park.
