Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

It’s one of my favourite tropes

Like the fact that one of the three mortals who became gods in Pathfinder, Irori, simply perfected himself until he ascended

(Iomedae did a grueling trial and Cayden Cailen won it in a drunken dare, which are also Pleasantly Tropey)

Making the mother of all omelettes here Jack

Technically all she did was touch a magic rock. It’s that she had to do a grueling trial to get to the magic rock, but the magic rock is the thing that actually made her a god. It’s the same way Aroden ascended originally.

Another pathfinder god, Gruhastha (Irori’s nephew), wrote a book that was so good he merged with it and became a god off the back of that. The only gnomish deity Nivi Rhombodazzale got to be a demigod by trading a nice gem to an already existing god.

it was The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Let he who has installed no adult mods to cast the first stone

No mods for me, terrified of beaking a ramshackle game even more but I do pay attention to what others do with it.

I once modded TWWH2 to put more armour on the Dark Elf ladies (because their armour is cool but Pale Bikini Babes is a little too 1980s for my taste) so if anything I’m at a negative on nude mods installed

Casts a stone onto him

I may be horny, but I’ve never installed an adult mod in any game so far.

The only outright adult mod I’ve ever installed on Skyrim was the dick mod and only because it apparently needed to be installed for another body mod (one that was supposed to allow you to make not buffed at all male characters).

That didn’t work.

Now, as a person who plays Huniepop and the like; I’m not opposed to adult mods, just there are better games to install them on.

EDIT: Then again, its skyrim and Skyrim is what you make it.

A wise person once said that although skyrim is as wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle, it is still great fun to occasionally splash around in a puddle

Games do excel others in ways, someone doesnt have to be like…a “wow” person or an “eso” person, they are just games, for instance one could enjoy the way ESO handles their lore so much more than WoW, but still prefer WoW overall due to it being a larger cooler rp community or even the content aspect, why people get annoyed by the mere mention of other games is abit wild.
Edit: not saying you in particular are getting annoyed by the mention, just a general statement really, Ive seen people get wound up by it on the forums a few times, strikes me as odd really

Yeah, CHIM is basically reserved to like…3 lore figures tops I think? Talos/Vivec…and 1-2 others maybe, and wouldnt be general knowledge among the public I think.

A pet peeve of mine personally? seing lore figures wear armour I want for a char of my own.

Emphasis on the part where they make it their new identity over night and act as though they’re superior to everyone else for abandoning WoW behind for this new game, but can’t stop talking about WoW as if they need to convince everyone non-stop that they’re over it.

Even then it’s debatable if any of them ever achieved it. The source for Talos is Mankar Camoran… who was wrong about the basic nature of Oblivion, Dagon and his own cult. Not only is he an untrustworthy source, he’s proven to be just blatantly wrong about everything he talks about so his claim that Talos achieved CHIM is incredibly shaky.

The source for Vivec is Vivec himself who’s a notoriously compulsive liar who betrays people. Even Sotha Sil recognises that under no circumstances are you supposed to believe anything Vivec says because he makes things up to entertain himself and probably hasn’t spoken a full truth in his life.

Fancy venthyr lady thigh-high boots…

getting flashbacks to the Kyrian quest where you collect a full Venthyr disguise and the items you collect do not protect the person’s modesty in the slightest
