Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

Im ‘only’ level 140, and I currently have base Vagabond Arcane (7) with no real impetus to up it on this build, yet :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m sure once I’ve brute-forced at least one completion of the game, I’ll flick back to the rest of my stable of characters, one of whom is All In on Dragon Communion and the breath attacks (also that claw attack, because damn that slaps. Literally.)

Edit: I think one of the reasons its taken me so long to progress to nearly end-game in ER is due to the flexibility of character creation in Fromsoft games.
My level 140 has been through a few different iterations, as has my second highest character. I’ve got a Beast Cleric, a Dragon priest, a full on Mage, Id like to try a Golden Order Fundamentalist (even if the incants are a bit garbagey, apparently), my ‘I can cosplay any Knight in the game’ character…
Too much choice!

I have a bleed build that uses that as a finisher, damn its a lot of fun.

I also have a pure breath build character who just got Ekzykes’ rot breath. But haven’t played the character for a bit, went and geared up other characters and went back to my main.

Only up to 45 in each and even then faith scaling drops off around 35. If they are going pure faith, Erdtree is the best charm from 70-74 onwards, since they didn’t invest in arcane at all.

Leave Golden Order Fundamentalist, go full on elementalist caster that uses EVERYTHING.

You’re resistant to lightning? oh well, eat Azur’s comet instead then.

EDIT: Even use Sword of Night and Flame if you really want to party with a meme beam.

I have a random question but can someone tell me why everyone say “an RP realm”? I thought you add “an” before a vowel and R in RP is a consonant

thanks in advance

Because when you say “RP” out loud, you pronounce it as “AR PEE”, hence “an AR PEE (realm)”

ah lmao i always read it as an roleplay and thats why it sounded so bad in my head

That’s one type of thing I’ve been meaning to try more of, actually; builds around certain/legendary weapons.

I enjoyed the Bloodhound Knight replica I made (although I stuffed myself for low level invasions, even at level 40; apparently a +2 somber weapon is a bit out of the range for Stormveil Castle. I might have to go bother the Academy instead, heh)
So I should definitely try some of the more eccentric weapons, like some of the Str/Int weapons that there seems to be a LOT of this time around.

Oddly, despite past fromsoft games, pure mage is one Im finding really hard to do in ER. I feel way too squishy and not punchy enough for like all the early game? Maybe I’m using the wrong spells, heh.

You can get the big glintstone pebble spell early-ish and it only needs 18 int to use.

That has lasted me well into Altus now.

Yeah, I have plenty of spells to pick from. Just… I dunno, even upgrading the staves and trying to put points into Int, it feels like stuff has a lot of HP to chip through? Like I’m not hitting hard enough.

And if I put too many points in just Int/Mind, then I don’t have enough in Vigor/End to keep attacking and dodging/get wombatted instantly when I do get hit

Maybe I just need to level grind a lot haha.

I mean, I always do a bit of grinding regardless of build (or I go cheese Greyoll).

If you run into Caelid you can pick up the gravity staff which has an S int scaling which helped a lot on my sorc early as well.

Its in the rot swamp, can’t be upgraded, but doesn’t really need it.

EDIT: Croecell, in Caelid at level 1 just as stupid intended.

EDIT2: You can multi-cheese greyoll as well, if you kill her and horseback it back to the bonfire before her babies die, you get 50k souls and she respawns.

Post search sucks, interpreting words as parts of longer words for 50+ unrelated hits yet somehow misses at least a dozen posts on specific words that wouldn’t appear in other contexts.

I’m also reminded the old posts are all gone. I need references!

German is hard because it has too many strict rules to follow.
English is hard because it has no rules telling you how to pronounce things.

No you didn’t. You made this mess yourself.

Sure
I’m aware how messed up the noun flavours are. But at least the spelling - while far from great - isn’t as much of a train wreck.

Our royal family is German! Bitte!!!

Danke, I know. But they didn’t invent your language. They have to live with it just like everyone else.

Fun fact: German sentence structure is actually less strict than English sentence structure.
