Me taking the “child” to the pool.
EDIT: I did have a blissful 10 minutes of him not slapping himself, so I got that going for me.
Which is nice.
he’s started it back up now however and its all i can hear.

Easily my favorite boss of the game, with 2nd and 3rd to last boss being close, well, second and third.
I may have just been lucky, and slightly over-levelled for him by accident, but it’s funny looking at a lot of comments saying he’s really hard/cheesy and whatever… but even though I had to swap my weapons around (Blasphemous Blade is fire, which he tanks) and took a few tries, he wasn’t hard?
Rather, he was a fun challenge, but he wasn’t Elden Ring Hard (i.e. has dozens of moves, infinite poise, no pauses between attacks, loads of hp and damage AND speed yes I’m looking at you Morgott, you are definitely the worse brother!!)
Definitely up there with Renalla for being a fun challenge, not just frustration.
Level plays a part in it to some degree. Build too. I can’t remember what level I was, but I want to say sub lvl 100? I was also dual wielding dex build, no summons, no spirits, so that made it harder I think. I don’t think being hard always makes a boss better, an example being Rykard who is a gimmick boss that is pretty easy, but is also just fun.
Mohg felt balanced with an interesting moveset that put enough pressure on me but also left enough openings to attack, which is what I like, because I play rather aggressively. Also epic presentation and a banger soundtrack.
Speaking of ER;
I want to play, but i also want to watch Split, so guess I’ll log on an alt and Liurnia for the umpteenth time so i can do both.
Peeve time;
Waterslide transfers for miniatures are. The. WORST.
This model is so nearly done, but I got the transfer on the shoulderpad slightly too far to the left.
Trying my best to get it to shift… and when it does move it folds itself up like dirty washing. Utter waste of time and effort!
This is why I stick to sculpted shoulderpads… or freehand, even. Anything is better than this
Everybody who finishes Stray is like “Reject humanity, become feline.”
I’ve not played it yet but this is my default state anyway so maybe I shouldn’t play it after all…
James McAvoy plays such a good 9 year old.
He plays all the other alters really well too.
Also; Am I a joke to you?
Level 40 Bloodhound Knight invader build was not worth the time or effort at all.
You’d think Stormveil Castle would make for a fun place for a thematic build? Hahaha, HAHAHAH hope you like hackers, item dupers and lag for days.
Having a +2 somber weapon cannot be enough to throw MM off that far, surely to goodness and sanity?! What a sick joke…
Its why I don’t really like PvP in FS games, if nothing else, the lag kills all.
Nothing like trading with my friend, get invaded and neither of us can hit this person because of the lag.
That was the worst part in the one invasion that actually had some action. Getting R1 spammed by the summon with a frost rapier, while trying to hit the no-armour-at-all host. And I nearly killed him, twice, but the lag meant he was out of arms reach seconds after hitting him, and my throwing daggers just… went nowhere?
Dunno if that was better or worse than Mr Golden Order Greatsword one shotting me, or the invisible (not stealthed - they literally had no visible character, just a target dot) bleed spammer… meh.
I do sort of wish they’d allow you to do Varré’s quest with the Volcano Manor contracts (apparently you used to be able to but it was taken away) because invading real people means I get a mixed result and its just bleh.
EDIT: Also me and my friend do a lot of trading weapons and every time we do it, we get invaded by one smartbutt lagger.
Personally love the way he portays the mature woman alter with such dignity and poise. Even if she is just as bad as Dennis, she’s so likable.
Yep, his portrayal of Patricia is also amazing too.
I also love that he has the body language of all of them so well done that you know immediately which alter it is.
EDIT: I’m actually sitting through Glass right now even though I don’t like it as much (and it craps the bed halfway through), but I am just watching it for mcAvoy and Taylor-Joy.
Managed an invasion with the blood instead of recusants finger. Might be fluke, but it was a beatable duo this time. Still tough and a bit laggy, but won in the end.
I think one issue is the Bloodhound Set has utterly dog-muck poise (hurr hurr) and the Fang doesn’t have the hyperarmour it needs for the slow swings. Offhand claws are a bit slow, and despite being part of a theme, there’s sadly 0 synergy
Edit: Aaaand I went to chill with co-op instead, and the Host used Taunters Tongue. So we got invaded. And then invaded again. And then he died ._.
Adrenaline and a bottle of cider now mean Im all quivery, so time to pack Elden Ring in for the night. G’damn…
Have developed a near-unbearable headache tonight so the dogs have decided this is the perfect time to bork the song of their people,
Logged into ER; Oh right, got to grind 6 levels for END so I can carry both weapons without being over encumbered.
That sucks, hope you feel better soon and hope the dogs stop singing the song of their people.
I, for one, approve of multistemwordbuilding.
