Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

He’s now sitting with his back to me.

Asked if he was done so I could put it back in the fridge.

This is very true - not many people have both the ability and either security or desperation required for direct action* [i sure as hell do not] - but the combination of popular support and a simultaneous political campaign (Enough is Enough, started by some of the more powerful unions) is a great strategy.

Generally change requires both, or one in extreme - the ability to say ‘these are our demands. fix them…or else’ is important.

*direct action isn’t just riots or directed violence, but it is a part of it. it can be anything from letter campaigns to strikes to breaking windows

it’s what the dip is specifically for!!

"I don’t want no scrub
A scrub is a guy that can’t get no love from me "

~literally me to the cat who is rejecting his food again.

Actually started the conversation with; “oh yes son, I’m talking to you”

Feels weird that Solas wasn’t angry with me for defiling an elven tomb in the Exalted Plains. He was right there with me.

Read an interview transcript with tomino (the gundam guy) where he’s all “my series suck, you’d have to be an idiot to enjoy them, I’m an idiot for making them, please support them for the next 50 years”.

Love him. Love how utterly exasperated the interviewers get while trying to speak to him. A true monarch.

Odd. Because on the other hand, if you loot the containers near an elven tomb which aren’t an objective so much as just… straight up stealing for the hell of it, he does disapprove iirc.

Can nearly use my donated Moonlight Greatsword on my mage.

Watched the Resident Evil live action TV show with Lance Reddick.

He was basically the only redeeming factor for it, the ‘actual’ protagonist was so thoroughly unlikeable it made it hard to watch. They timesplit it over a “past” section where the protag was a kid so their stupidity could be more easily explained away as them being a stupid teenager, but when they did the ‘future’ section stuff there was no real excuse. They were just a bad+stupid person, constantly. I know zombie media often rely on protagonists being stupid so they don’t “solve” the plot but this one took it really hard to the extreme.

I doubt it will get a second season, even though it ended with the possibility of doing so.

I do hope that future RE content considers reusing Reddick as Wesker though. I get that he’s not got the whole “blonde-hair-blue-eyed-white-dude-supremacy” under/overtone that the original design kinda had but he definitely worked in the role, for me at least.

TIL that the end credits versions of Into the Unknown and Lost in the Woods are performed by Panic at the Disco and Weezer. I was wondering why they sounded so familiar.

A mod that has Rannala summoning Ludwig does sound good

Garden of Eyes has modded it so there’s a spirit ash for everything already, maybe they’ve done a ludwig mod?

EDIT: My first act with my new sword was to die to a night’s cavelry because I was so amazed by the damage that I forgot to dodge.

If the British could just be a little more French about things, just this once, as a treat? That’d be great.

Also, yeah, as much as it wouldn’t really change the state of the world, the schadenfreude of Dump actually losing in court and seeing the inside of a cell would keep me going for quite some time.

I’m sure you had the cavalry sweating though

Where are the French immigrants when you need them??

We need those firefighters who protested by setting themselves on fire and throwing themselves at cops, absolutely unparalleled levels of based
