Kobolds have the same energy that I love in the goblins of many other settings - the combination of surprising ingenuity combined with absolutely zero idea how to implement it. Full on 16 INT 0 WIS smart dumbasses

I read that kobolds in D&D can apparantly live to like 130 years, but a majority doesnt make it past 20 due to all the dumb stuff they get into, including fighting adventurers.
They dig tunnels into mountains (hazardous at the best of times), exalt dragons who are often known for their wanton cruelty, and tend to live around an adventurer’s main food source (other people’s gold) - unsurprising they don’t stick around :V
