Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

It’s not had a great amount of attention here but a tweet from blizz about spending cosmic flux to get soul ash/soul cinders has made my brain remember that I really didn’t care for the legendary crafting stuff in this expansion - the execution, at least. The idea of crafting legendary instead of relying on rare drops (the ‘pattern’ for specific legendary powers notwithstanding) or a lengthy quest chain isn’t inherently bad, but the actual playing of it wasn’t great in 9.0 and from what I’ve read hasn’t gotten any better really since. The main beef before the cost in raw gold for the crafters to level the recipes in the first place. Not to mention issues with tier gear pieces vs. legendary item slots in the most recent patch.

I fear that they’ll scrap the entire concept as a one-and-done thing like so many previous mechanical ideas that they never iterate on and simply discard. That would be a shame. It can be done better. I hope they do.

this was meant for the ptr thread but whatever it’s kind of a peeve anyway

The UK is Naggaroth, the US is Malus Darkblade expedition colony.

“Shut UP daemon!” while sacking the world out of singular self interest is a reasonable representation of US politics.

It just works

Aight so I am vindicated af tonight :triumph:
We’ve had some parse [REDACTED] people leave our static, which caused some issues like death and general lack of healing and then saying DPS is the issue, I mean I wonder why when deaths in Savage on FF gives you a -25% dmg debuff upon ress.

This week tho, DPS gone up by quite a bit, like my own went up by 1k and that is with me still having some weaving issues I’m still trying to fix BUT GOD IT FEELS GOOD!!!
Not heaving people randomly die to unavoidable AoE or sweating who’ll die next or struggling on FoA on P3S!!

I am so hype with the current vibe in the static and look forward to P4S soon™

My spellblade build in Elden Ring has basically turned into a Rogier cosplay.

Someone has to carry on the legacy of looking classy while slinging spells and thrusting a rapier.

That bonus to glintstone sorceries is just too hard to pass innit.

Ulthuann. The hyper-capitalists who install spies in their trade. And what do they trade? Crappy elven trinkets.

If people didn’t open portals to the chaos realms as soon as the elves stop looking for five minutes, they wouldn’t have to keep an eye on everyone

looking at you, ursun

it was a nice concept that had some real classic wow community vibes to it

however having to drop like 100k gold on shadowghast [itemslot] is just dumb and the whole [craft 15 of rank 1 to unlock rank 2 for every item slot] was also just insufferable, not only because some mats were maw exclusive (outside of rare spawns) and thus artificially gated by the eye of the jailer mechanic, but also meant that any levelling beyond the first week of 9.0 just meant you had an inventory full of 210/225 ilvl crafting materials that were basically wanted by nobody

i would have personally rather they just had soul ash be a generic currency that was turned in to a covenant rep for a legendary of choice - it’s boring but it works + can even retain stuff like slot choice/ilvl upgrades

nothing like a good night out in manchester

the beautiful contrast of the shiny arndale and the borded up building literally across the road

That picture is art. It’s fascinatingly captivating.

That more poohbear’s government state capitalism.

This is really cool.

Never thought I’d see an AdventureQuest mod for Skyrim! They also have Runescape and Warcraft mods, including Thunderfury.

I really want to play Skyrim again, but every time I end up spending like two days hunting for mods and 10 hours playing before I get bored.

Bede would have a chance, I have 3 dragons on my team ATM.

He’ll never see them though, Toxtricity got me covered.

The introduction of the fairy type has made me like poison types.

Okay, I’d never have a pure poison pokemon, but I’m not annoyed at seeing X/poisons anymore

I usally spend close to a week modding, testing, fixing, etc until the game is stable and just right for a themed playthrough.
I then usually play until the script extender breaks because of an update and updating my script extender is always a problem for me, so I normally have to redo the modding process from scratch by purging all flies related to modding.

Jynah Proudmoore.

Christ, I’ve been dipping my feet into the Styx Master of Shadows and Shards of Darkness games and boy are the games unforgiving… Dare I say, they’re the Elden Ring of infiltration games :smirk: .

More seriously, unless you play on easy mode even the normal mode kinda gives you a hard time, definitely a difficult spike compared to the usual infiltration games I was used to play in the past. Best I play on easy mode, I want a good time, not endless frustration.
