Except the servers are down… AGAIN :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:

Fromsoft too busy with Elden Ring.

They did fix the servers after some 175 days, and they were up for like 2 weeks, now they are down again.

Its likely they finally found all the hostile exploits in their systems that allowed hackers to impact your PC outside of the game and realized how extensive the breach was when they looked into ds2.

Yeah, i posted about the DS3 servers coming back online when they patched them.

But I haven’t played DS3 because I’ve sworn off of it for Elden Ring so didn’t know the servers only survived 2 weeks.

Also, my understanding is that the hack did not effect DS2 even though Fromsoft shut down its servers as well?

Me, playing FF14 merrily: I like Machinists, even if their rotation needs a bit of tweaking. It’s fun!

The Community: Machinists stink. a poopy

Me: Well okay then, I shall level Red Mage!

The Community: Ahem.

Be Black mage.

Its Yoshi-P’s class, it’ll never be poopy.

Its largely a guess, im pretty sure the hack that caused it was found in ds2 and maybe it extended to the other games.
it could also be the servers couldn’t handle the big return and had to be shut down until they had time to give them maintenance.
regardless From is not in a hurry, that much is clear.

No, it was found in DS3 by a white hat.

The general consensus is that due to DS2’s online system being vastly different than 3 and 1’s, it was unaffected.

Gonna end up like Elenthas just trying to keep up

Its playstyle does also change every ten levels, so you never get bored of it! And by that I mean I hope you like remembering all the different rotations depending on what level you get sync’d down to.

My mistake.
In any case all three games was taken offline
and I know they fixed many of the issues with the update when the servers came back. apparently they fixed enough that the blue sentinel mod, more or less became irrelevant. I couldn’t say why they took down all three, but I can guess the games shared a breach and issues across the entire code.

Frankly I just wanna play ds3 with a bro, he recently got the game and I have been bodyguarding him through the game, taking great glee in watching him struggle against ambushes and similar.

Just so we’re clear, that was sarcasm. I still do not like dlack mage and wouldn’t suggest it to anybody.

HOWEVER

It has remained competative.

Its like; “well, 1 and 3 are down so we’ll take 2 down as well to be safe”

Even though as said, its a completely different beast and wasn’t affected anyway

Probably, I could believe it if that is the truth.

Black Mage PvP is/was very fun (idk if it still is, not played in two patches), even if not necessarily ‘competitive’ at top ranks.

Also it’s pretty fun at top level but I’m definitely not one to play it as a main DPS class, too much brainspace required on knowing fights for leylines and stuff for me. I’ll stick to tanking/healing/dancing instead. Simple.

Oh, I only level it via PvP and yes, it is fun in PvP.

But I have disliked it for so long in PvE (guess that’s what I get for doing Praetorium over and over with its 50 rotation)

Embrace simplicity.

The first time going into PvP (there is one gun that basically all MCH glamours use and it’s a PvP one) was a wild experience because I had no idea basically everything changes and you have to make a new set of bars on the fly

Embrace mind numbingly boring more like.

If you go to the Wolves’ Den in La Noscea, you can change your PvP bars there.

Or do it at the pvp place.
