Say, is anyone here familiar with the so-called historian Simon Webb? Because I stumbled onto a channel of his and, for a historian, this dude sure seems to be trying to excuse the Fire-nation’s invasion of it’s neighbour and I hope to find out if I should just outright avoid it in the future. His comment section atleast makes me want to just not bother. Fire-nation apologists can go climb a tree and stay in it.

Sometimes Youtube likes to try and springboard things in the hope you’ll bite so they can continue to promte things.
I am very surrpised that despite watching a ton of leftube, it doesn’t try to spring things like that on me more often.

Honestly I think it happened after I watched a few videos about the whole “Henry Cavill left Witcher”-thing, where a few of them, comment section included, all too soon devolved into “Everything woke is the devil and woke is responsible for all misery in the world.” Like, I’m not happy with what they’re doing to that series either but damn. Also shows how easily you can be lead down the rabbit hole if you don’t watch it.
That is indeed rather strange.
Edit: Not long after I clicked on a video by Hindustan Times about Fire-nation’s attack on new year’s eve… good lord that comment section is just outright disgusting and sickening.
My namesake is hiding because I told him off.
