angrily shaking my fist at shadiversity for being awful rn
Whatās he saying about what this time?
heās currently being mad about people being mad about AI art, presumably because his graphic novel project turned out to be more expensive than he thought
I can only assume this is the first time he isnāt using severely outdated sources, if heās actually using any
My friend got me Thymesia for christmas - soulslike which wears its bloodborne inspiration on its face, sleeve, and everywhere. Lots of vile and pureblood stuff going on.
Its difficulty curve could be generously considered āwhackā. The first boss is a two healthbar dude with a bunch of different attack patterns who can take off half your health in one combo if youāve not learned him. Each healthbar is a different phase with a different set of attacks. Died at least a dozen times before I got him down.
The second (main) boss is a big bat with only a single healthbar, no second phase. I slapped it around and killed it in one try easily. I wasnāt even full on consumables because I didnāt know it was a boss fight until it started.
Think you got those two backwards guys.
Still pretty fun, if Indie Bloodborne is your vibe.
Canāt get over naming the main character Corvus and then his design and abilities are deliberately crow-themed. Do you think his parents named him that and he just leaned into it or did he take the name after deciding he was going to be a crow-based fighter?
Go get it
Armour is always slightly more of a fashion thing in these games but youāll need to invest some stats into being able to midroll with heavy armour. Isnāt too bad though since now you can jump to dodge some of the attacks (though lots of people forget that and still roll shockwaves like the silly beans they are) and get the Arsenal Charm (lightens equip load) pretty early on.
You can also, and excuse me for stereotyping here, do a full paladin build. Shiny gold magic included.
started a new playthrough with a gravity mage build until i can start getting to Ranniās questline in Liurnia and learn some Dark Moon sorceries. it disgusts how much easier this is than my first samurai build. was able to navigate and survive in caelid long enough to get the meteorite staff and the rock sling spell. it took me⦠12 attempts first time to take down margit. it took me one this time with rock fling spam x.x
Maybe his parents were Dishonored fans? Corvo is a cool dude
magic go bbbrrrr in ER
You can call him John Crow Soul.
Beat another Thymesia boss. This was a giant worm filled with red lyrium plague crystals or something.
It was likewise incredibly easy.
Big enemies=easy
Human sized enemies=repeated deaths.
simple as
How does the combat feel compared to From games? Usually I find that other indie projects donāt quite nail it and something always feels off, like Mortal Shell had rather floaty animations on the character and somewhat weird enemy swings with a windup and strike that were hard to adjust to.
Lots of souls-likes sadly donāt get the feel of weight and impact right ._.
Big wepon needs to go CHUNK
Another suggestion for the name origin: Maybe his parents liked the band Corvus Corax
Code Vein managed it relatively well? at least i felt it did overall.
Idc if its cheese if i can play a mage i always WILL
I put the Communist Manifesto in their stockings when Mito wasnāt looking.
Itās feels mostly pretty good once you unlock the extended parry window talents. Iāve not had any issues adjusting to it. That said, the interrupt button isnāt as fast/responsive as Iād like but the dodging and attacking generally feels okay. Iām enjoying hitting things and itās (mostly) my fault when I get hit.
Shield guys are lame though.
Itās especially worse if you go watch things incognito. My current Youtube algorithm seems to be fairly good (even though annoyingly thereās Critical Drinker being pushed, ironically happened after his videos got pushed in General Discussion⦠and no, I didnāt click on them), but sometimes I donāt want a video to have an effect on it. I decided to quickly look for videos about puberty blockers and itās all just right wing wash. Any leftist point of view is so buried.
Sidenote, arguing with bigots has almost made me knowledgeable enough on even trans issues lol. I should just learn to bookmark/save URLs for future reference. Can also prank family if they ever decide to snoop with a ātrans infoā folder.
Man, I need to play Code Vein again. Itās in the naughty list of āGames that were going great and then one misstep or āwrongā choice made for a less than optimal progression/endingā and made me put it down.
I kinda miss my heterochromatic eyed tall blonde, with a sword larger and twice as wide as she was just wombating enemies around.
I have no idea who this person is, probably for the best.
The linker was on ignore by then so skipped right past.
I am still slightly baffled that you all still expose yourself to the self harm factory that is GD on a regular basis
^This^, in 10
tbh I donāt think I remember a time that GD has ever been a good place to post and I assume itās just got worse since Activision laid off their customer support division
