Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

I mean, Adan meaning human puts it in the same category as big M Man as a people, so male human would just be little a Adan?

Quite. Human beings rendered down to commodities, having to sell their labour to live cannot exist free of coercion.

That’s not how Sindarin works. Adan just means human, no matter the capitalization. (Sindarin’s native writing systems, Tengwar and Cirth, don’t even have capital letters!)

I mean more the way the word is used/supposed to be used. It seems the case intuitively in that context.

at a glance scrolling down i thought @ elenthas suddenly became dark skinned

looking closer without sun glaring through the window behind me, no, someone stole his face and left a featureless void with sunglasses on.

cant have :poop: in silvermoon

Silvermoon shoe bandit changed his business model.

So I did a PvP worldquest and actually met some other players for once and… now I’m into PvP again.

I’m really bad but I’ve actually been enjoying it.

i hear you, i felt the same when i got some gear onto my warrior. no one expects the ultra-aggressive gnomes

I’m playing aff lock so how impactful I get to be tends to depend on how focused on me other players are. If I can just sit back and dot all the things I can really swing fights but if they train me I tend to just hop around hoping there’s a healer nearby.

I’ve not tried any solo shuffle yet because not having PvPed at all my gear was bad last night but in BGs I felt like I could hold my own 1v1 well enough though.

I am tempted to level my priest and try some PvP healing though.

Not fond of it for the reason you stated. All it takes is identifying the weak link among the 6 players and focusing them everytime to drop your rating hard.

priest pvp is fun in all specs at least so worth trying

So I finally found time to watch the video and man

The last thing I expected was an actual religion

thats a mood i was big into frost mage and shad priest pvp in MoP before drifting towards warrior in WoD. i have not pvp’d properly since then until this expac.

I briefly played a 3v3 team that was Disc Priest, Resto Druid, Blood DK and until we got to like 1600ish rating players would just leave rather than try to fight us because we were going to take you deep into dampening and we were going to waste your time.

…I have not heard of that comp type in years and suddenly im feeling various degrees of PTSD from remembering that era of Disc and Blood mitigation

Staggering. ERPing with your bestie while channelling the dommy divine cosmic spirit of Severus is certainly a life choice.

I wonder what is it with random dungeon pool being reduced once you get to around level 50.

I’m level 56 and I’m forced to run the same 2-4 dungeons over and over. Switched over from TBC to WotLK and instead of 4 dungeons, I get 2. (Nexus and Utgarde)

I’ve played on a PvP server, I expect them at all times.
Other expected things: Dwarves that refuse to die, Humans trying to camp lowbies but getting stomped, Draenei being bad at PvP unless they use exploits, … man these stereotypes are old.

Maybe they’re finally trying to fix the damage scaling for tanks?
