Yeah, I too really wanted the trainee’s sword.
You can get another curvy sword a few quests in (when you bring the fire elemental to the temple), but the colours are different.
I also wish starter gear was just cosmetic. I can’t even mog my old primitive kilt because it’s leather while an alt I have is completely locked out of the warrior starter items I used in their RP set for years, because those are now plate.

My week (10 days lol) off starts. Finished work later than I’d hoped, and my brain has predictably spaghetti’d after getting home, but at least I’m free for a bit.
Stares at 3 days time. Feels the inevitable creaking of ageing…
Some rp-related peeves:
Characters that seem created just to be weird. When they enter a conversation they completely dominate said conversation, and change the topic completely with their weirdness. I have learned that I find that quite annoying.
Second one being lead on a ghost-hunt, thinking “Oh a small event, this is fun.” Even if it is near 5 am in the night… only to get told 'Nah sorry this is a multi-day thing, come back later for the rest." And to top it off you are constantly followed around by an edgelord from a certified Duskwood guild whose only purpose seems to be to pretend the atmosphere is super-spooky, but each time you interact with this certified edgelord, you find out they’re probably gore-fetishists aswell ( when it comes to describing dead things and bodies this guy gets super-descriptive).
This was not tonight but a few days ago but I felt like writing about it now.

The first one you mentioned melts my brain.
I have similar issues with people who heavily rely on slapstick crud with pets/toys.

It was in the middle of Stormwind yes, if it was Duskwood I’d have less of a problem with it.

I like playing weird chars but I hate being the centre of attention so it levels itself out.
Imagine if the ghost-hunt was a multipart RP thing that you could casually in and out for during any part without it feeling bad because the narrative is build that way.
