Except that he was dead wrong factually and also we see cultists falter out the cult all the time!
Ember shows that extends to even demon lords!!
You’re going to make Ember sad!!!

Ember gets a pass because 1) she is very cute and I would adopt her and 2) she has a track record of success. Cal can’t match her wholesome do-gooder feats.
Also worth noting that Ember will absolutely dunk on bad guys if they refuse to listen, she only lets them walk if she can tell that her words have sunk in on some level. She even points out that Bugman and Goat don’t pay her any attention.
We do know that the cultist changed. Hal tells you he’s become a healer.
Granted he doesn’t say who he’s healing - I guess it’s kinda implied he’s healing both sides, like Hal was - but you did effect a change in them, which shows their “I won’t change at all!!!” statement ended up being wrong. Baby steps.
Shoulda just locked him in a room with Ember for five minutes though, she’d have solved it.
A shockingly rational and effective solution to so many problems.
Ember really is the most important character in the story excluding maybe the PC and their mommy.
I do wish that she didn’t get Hellfire Ray as a spell and/or that it wasn’t so good.
It chars the whole “anyone can repent+redeem themselves” stuff when she’s out here casting an explicitly [Evil] spell and damning souls to hell constantly.
At least when I have her autocasting Death Curse I know they’re only dying and not getting a queuejump into deviltime.
It’s meant to be Delayed Blast Fireball but that spell doesn’t exist in Owlcat so they picked the next best thing - it is a little unfortunate though, yeah
seilkind’s quest
People (correctly) hated the dumb pirate+hellknight backer quest in Kingmaker for its dumb story.
Seilkind’s in WotR is honestly worse to me. Bad story (dumb fallout reference) and bad gameplay (forced turn-based even if you want to RTWP).
At least Rogue Trader won’t have to suffer from this - any bad content is entirely on Owlcat’s head, since no backer stuff this time around.
I hate how dry my hands get from paint
at least the walls are white now
"Okay, let me fetch my bow for the archery contest–
oh crap I got to Ashenvale on mage Lintian"
I played a little bit of tabletop rogue trader (it was fun) and a fun fact I found about daemons is that once they’re damaged they start losing their connection to the physical world and start teleporting randomly about the place
My poor squishy meat found this out
BB2 is the only one I’ve played, but seems entirely functional tbf? No issues so far.
I have had… A few days™
Brother got admitted to a psychward, heavily suicidal and won’t be let out for a while. We’ve managed to convince him to get help, but man… It’s been a few days.
I just wanted to play my silly game I meme hard on
Eating a sandwich.
Leo - “where’s my sandwich?!”
Yeah, where is it???
Sandwich isn’t in his diet.
Well then, you know what you must do
(Abandon sandwich traditions and call something he can eat a sandwich)
Another gold dragon peeve: Obviously once you unlock it, you kinda wanna hang out in your gold dragon form a lot and use your big gold dragon claws and bites and whatnot.
Which is great! Unless you’ve spent the last 20 levels investing your feats into dual wielding scimitars instead of natural weapons. I know retraining is an option but that takes time and effort. Would be nice if GD form had a “If you have any weapon focus feats or similar, these apply to your dragon’s natural weapons” clause.
Yes the gold dragon form is still perfectly viable and YES it doesn’t actually matter but it DOES matter because I say so.
imagine not being a scaled monk/sorceror/dragon disciple/eldritch knight lmao
