Apparently we’re going to get snow, but only the Far North Germans (aka Northern Jutland) actually gets a snowstorm.

Reminded of my partner’s friend, a scientist, who was asked if her lab had a spare canister of some gas or other that they could borrow.

I’m wondering now if taking the Alert feat on my bard who already had +6 to initiative was too much.
I now have +11 to initiative and usually end up going first. It has kind of become constant at our table. “And to no one’s surprise, Ailarien is first to act. Again.”
Admittedly a bard going first is great. I get to make a meaningful difference on the battlefield, be that by using Fey Step on the fighter to teleport him towards the enemies, Steel Wind Strike to decimate the minions, Hold Monster on the big ugly dumb thing or Forcecage on the scary spellcaster. I’m just worried about stealing too much of the show.
No, I don’t want to move to redneck Denmark even for a vacation. It’s also where all the incest cases tend to happen or LGBTQIA+ crimes are more likely to happen.

Honestly, being sassy that the person with a high initiative score goes first a lot is a jerk move. Yes, the barbarian or the swashbuckler rogue is going to act first in most combats, that’s what they’re designed to do
If you’re concerned about stealing the show or breaking someone’s plan, you can take a moment to ask people what they are planning to do in their turn and adjust to set them up. Sometimes you’ll have to overwrite someone because you both have the plan of ‘stop the caster before they Fireball us’ and you just happen to be the person who can do that, but that’s how the dice break
