In other news, most of the challenges done now, just a few herbalism ones left, then I got ony the horseman and herb challenges left that you can only do as John. Now all thatâs left to do as Arthur is:
- Complete Main story
- Complete sidequests
- Find fossils apart from those you can only find as John
- He Who Must Not Be Named⌠Algernon WaspâŚ
The greatest challenge is doing this and not feeling the sad u_u

Iâm on one of my mecha vibes so I look into the Lancer TTRPG, but itâs difficult for me to often visualise the flow of a game from just reading it, so I decided to check out an actual play podcast on youtube dot com.
After the (far too long) music intro they start doing introductions and the GM says âWhoâs hyped for some mecha?â and there was a just dead silence from the five other people there, until he finally just said ââŚalrightâ and there was an awkward laugh.
Tempted to just leave it there. Think their comedy has peaked.
I personally donât find Lancer that appealing but I encourage people to look into it, if only because it gets heavily criticised for the wrong reasons.
A lot of gamers hate it on principle because:
a) the galactic government of the setting is relatively left-leaning
b) a lot of the art comes from a relatively popular web-comic artist
c) a lot of the art features people who arenât skinny, white, non-disabled and/or traditionally beautiful
Is it the mechanics that put you off or�
They are more left-y than I was expecting but theyâre definitely not all good (heheheh)
Some tabletop RPGs like to separate sessions into ânarrative sectionsâ and âgameplay sections,â and Lancer is one of them. Previous experience in other games has taught me that it feels pretty jarring in practice.
