While I’m on the subject of Tolkien, here’s another peeve: fan writers using the wrong Elvish language for the context.
I’ve read a poem about Feanor’s parting with Nerdanel, which is perfect except for one thing: the dialogue uses the word mellon (of Door of Durin fame), which is a Sindarin word. Since the scene is taking place in Valinor, the author should have used the Quenya word meldo or meldonya instead.
(I also rant about Tolkien purists in the same breath. I’m very consistent.)
ignore them, those horror stories are from before the changes they made for endwalker. even before then I found fishing chill. you want to power level it, ocean fishing my dudes its not terrible.
if those people start again just say the words “pre-shadowbringers machinist” and watch them wet their pants
I have the urge to return to Elden Ring.
To do something insane. Like a powerup run where I go to Altus pre-Margit and try and get my hands on the Black Knife.
Blizzard, I’d really appreciate it if you could stop suggesting me threads about how society is collapsing because “they” exists as a term or how “feminist censorship” is ruining WoW because Vanessa is wearing pants.
I’m looking forward to the Warhammer patch, not because of Chorfs and glorious hats but because I can finally have Gotrek, Felix, Malaki, Snorri and Ulrika together… just need someone to make Max and the gang is set.
