oKAY i gET IT i’ll do another azata run GOD
I always get my way
would you say that people tend to fall in line with what you say?
They freely choose to follow my wisdom
Today I finished my Frozen Throne campaign. The original WCIII version, not Refunded.
Then I thought of WoW and all I could think was. Frelling hell, how did it go so off the rails.
Started another run so I can tick a true aeon one off my list. Went monk.
Respecced Camellia into rogue, Woljif into an eldritch archer magus, and Ember into an elemental engine kineticist (fire+more fire).
Though I will become the embodiment of Law, I create my own chaos.
Reminds me of when I used to spy on people in RP with [Inconspicuous Bird] name and then some other people followed suit so we were just a birb gang being a menace for a little while.
miss those times
Anyway, I think I’m on the fasttrack to finishing Kingmaker and I managed to find a hot pic from the internet as a custom portrait for Wrath run, so now I just have to decide between a Seeker, a Warpriest, or maybe a Forester. Which of those will fight the best with Spears or Staves? Bah!
Sat on a mail box in Ironforge as a bird once and had a dwarf try to gently shoo me off of that IC. So technically I was part of bird gang.
I need to finish Kingmaker, but I get a bit stressed out by all the timed events.
I know it makes sense for the story/world, but I greatly prefer when my games don’t have a timer. Act limitations I can handle, but not timers
Yeah same, especially when you have no idea of timed events going, so you think you’re safe to do one of those ‘Spend 14 days to annex a land/support your advisor’ and then suddenly everything is in flames.
Especially later on when your Problems stop being at a good success rate. I’ve just started savescumming myself through them. Yes, I savescum - the dumb AI DM can just deal with me easily winning the obnoxious haha DC 2340 checks f you it sometimes loves to throw at you.
They can be stressful for sure, especially if you’re not aware of what’s going on.
Best two pieces of advice I can give for enjoying Kingmaker is to get a mod that stops the game auto-skipping time when ranking up your kingdom people/annexing areas, and laser-focus on each of the act main stories so that you have tons of time afterward to do all the other stuff
That sounds good, I will try that!
I am also considering just skipping right to wrath since I heard it doesn’t have the timer.
the bad thing about mods for kingmaker is that you have to make an account in nexusmods for it
(hidden stage 3 part of enjoying kingmaker is to, when you reach The House At The End Of Time, use a guide, download ToyBox and liberally apply the Kill All Enemies button
it’s a really bad dungeon just enjoy the story beats and skip the gameplay)
I think HATEOT is probably the worst dungeon Owlcat has made; worse than the Enigma even.
If they’d stripped out the dual world hopping gimmick it would’ve probably been fine - even with the bonkers enemies - but layering that on top of everything else was too much all at once.
When my Defender of the True World druid, the subclass specifically designed to fight fae, was getting minced by fae I decided that I didn’t want to play fair any more
Long hot day. My glasses are covered.
i’m one step ahead of you
i’ve already used a guide for my playthrough of kingmaker for romance advice where i already know small random minuscule events can have weird butterfly effects later on in the house place so i’m already well prepared
sidenote why is the only MLM relationship in kingmaker with an evil aligned guy, huh weird that (yes i know he will become chaotic neutral but still)
I’m also playing on like, the easier difficulties so IDK how painful it’s going to be. I’m mostly blitzing through things (or more specifically, Ekundayo and Nok-Nok are, Jubilost would be too if I had him in my party) right now so dunno. The hardest part thus far has just been finding enough spell slots for Death Wards.
Or well, I guess the actual hardest part thus far was the demon ambush in Vordakai’s tomb, but it’s optional so I didn’t bother with it (level drains can suck on a stinky toe).
It’s been stupidly warm.
