I still can’t settle on a main character. Do I want to stick with my human illusion wizard or play my half orc druid.

I just don’t know.

Halfling bard :+1:

Well, Crash Team Rumble is 50/50 on Fun and Frustrating, on a literal match to match basis.

Making the Free Trial (for one weekend only) limited to 3 characters and 2 Power Ups was Really Stupid.
Having a match that’s mostly rookies with the limited characters and thus down to skill level? Fun!
Having a match where a couple of really high level full players are just sat on your Turn-In bank using N. Cortex to shoot you and [Polymorph] equivelant from range?
Not Fun. Because there is NO way around that.

It’s not a game I’m going to put Ā£18 onto, especially as that’s the discount price. Feels suspiciously like a project that has a ton more potential in the bank, but got punted out Half Baked early by some idiot Activision Suit who doesn’t understand gaming and only cares about Spreadsheet Go Up Hurr Hurr.

Also my back is still aching a lot and my eyes are still playing up and I am so fed up with my body right now I’m genuinely tempted to just buy BG3 early and pretend I don’t live IRL for a bit.
I realise it’s self-deprecating, but t’heck with it; easy to lose weight cos I’m no-lifing video games, right?! :V

Settled on half orc druid. Having fun so far and I don’t want to play the same class I’m playing in my current (but soon to end) D&D campaign.

The polymorph shot isn’t that fast and has to lock on. Jump a lot and knock him back. Usually works out. But when you get hit, it stinks.
Cortex doesn’t have that much health fortunately.
Catbat can rinse him.

I can confirm this.

The Druid of the Moon (or wild shaping in general) in BG3 seem fairly underwhelming. Wanted to get bear daddy Halsin in my group and I don’t think he’ll be even half as useful as Karlach was, and the rest of the party is far better too. :sob:

thank god my main character is a druid of the land (and I know, two Druids is already too much, but I want that throuple romance ok)

BG3 Act 3 spoiler

The Emperor turning into a massively raging incel after being denied with anything but a ā€œoh but i still like you lots :)ā€ after suddenly coming onto you in a really creepy way is both incredibly funny, and incredibly tragic as i now feel compelled to do gith things instead

Air Myrmidon Halsin is absolutely busted. Three stun-potential attacks per turn, plus bonus action teleport, plus innate flight.

I don’t know how close you are to the ending but uhh oh boy is it funny if you say no to him one too many times towards the end of the game.

at what level can i make him bust(ed?)

I still have a whole bunch of things to do!

10th/11th iirc.

His saber-tooth-tiger form is already pretty good though. Enhanced jump on bonus action to get into position, 2-3 attacks per turn, and you get a choice of either chance to prone, reduce enemy AC by 2, or extra damage on prone enemies.

My only real problem with Halsin is NPCs finding his wild shape forms unnerving when wandering around. So what if I’m hanging out with a massive tiger! It’s Baldur’s Gate! It’s not that weird.

Then I hope you get the scene I’m cagily referencing, I think you’ll enjoy it.
