Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

Owl bear form is incredible, you just jump about the battlefield knocking people prone like a giant angry frog

And you also have the AC of a frog.

Eh, wild shape is basically like a 50 temporary HP buff with melee attacks attached so being hit isn’t the end of the world

Also prone enemies can’t opportunity attack you so you can just hit the bricks

Except things in Act 2 start hitting you for like 20+ per enemy in a round. The wild shape forms need a ton more HP if your way of fighting was ‘just survive the damage’.

I get that you have multiple charges of wild shaping, but it kinda just feels a little gimmicky when other classes can do more powerful things (from what I’ve heard). Wild Shapes just feel a little underwhelming and barren.

After all, isn’t that the idea behind CRPGs anyway? Higher AC over hp/healing. Can’t die if you can’t be hit

Druids just casting or just wild shaping are doing themselves a disservice - you ownzone enemies with spike growth, sleet storm, all that good stuff, then when you take a couple of hits you shapeshift and double your hit points

Spike growth on a choke point will win almost any fight, especially if anyone else has forced movement abilities like a warlock or barbarian

i’m getting really annoyed by BG3. whenever i play it on PC it’s a random crash fest

Yeah, but that also damages allies and depending on the comp you might not have that great of ranged damage output.

Meanwhile, Shadowheart flosses on the enemy close to her with one cast of Spirit Guardians. smh

Also I implore you all to use Shove on folks if you’re near a ledge, it’s SO good in a fight on rafters and only ladders being the way up.

bg3 is preparing everyone for a high density city life by how much it makes you want to shove people

(or just school life in the role of a bully)

Shove. Thunderwave. Similar.
It’s all good.

Update your drivers!

They are up to date. The fix that seems to have worked is stopping the launcher from opening.

That said, it did just overheat and crash my entire computer. So that was cool.

Heh heh we’re both 69

Astarion sounds like one of the most generic elven names ever.

It reminds me of how I made a one-shot Sentinel NPC for an RP event and named her Astarien because it was the first thing that came to my mind on an “elven name, quick!” prompt.

Plus you can mess up the enemy AI with ground effects. Poor things can’t go anywhere.

Jump! Jump everywhere

Have you tried limiting your fps to 60 as a hard cap in the options?
Heard that helps. Also turn off immersive crowds.

Karlach can also just pick people up and throw them. Or use them as weapon to hit other people.

Elves gonna do what elves do. Mostly be foppish.

I do!!!

i even jump to reach more places because fun fact if you’re just slightly out of reach with normal running, you can jump and then run to cross a longer distance, if you still want to attack in the end (otherwise dashing (+ jumping with dashing!!) is the better option)

Friendship ended with “I cast Fist”
“I cast Armoured Dwarf” is now my best friend.

Yet to get Karlach but the more I hear the more I wish to get them.

Also MAN I love the AI sometimes, two Gnolls ran right by Wyll and Shadowheart, both got game-ended due to Opportunity Strikes.

She’s great - you want to be level 4ish to get through her area because the gnolls there can be pretty nasty, though. Hits like a truck and is also best girl
